I want to start off by saying what a pleasure it's been staying at the Residence Inn Cottonwood location. My mother, son, and I, have been staying here for quite a few months now. We initially were only staying for a hopeful short time, as the house we had just bought had hazardous issues, that we sadly were not notified of at the time of viewing. We have been hopeful that it is fixable, trying our best to find solutions. Unfortunately things took a turn for the worst for my family and I. Leaving us in a very scary situation I did not ever see coming our way. We have been fortunate enough to stay here while hopeful arrangements are in effect with the home. Now putting more focus towards the Resistance In cottonwood location/staff. I can't even think where to begin at this point. The entire staff at the Residence Inn Cottonwood location has pushed beyond the limits of A1 Hospitality. They don't just treat you as random guests, they treat you as family, they treat you as your comfort physically, mentally, and emotionally is beyond over top priority. With the situation we have been in, there has been many kind hearted caring people just asking how my day is and if we're ok. Which has been more than enough, sometimes simple words or a single simple smile is all a human needs, and that is something they understand more than anything. The bedrooms are phenomenal, way beyond what I expected, the amenities are fantastic, layouts are solid, the interior of the rooms are absolutely breath taking. Love the artwork, matches the beautifully painted color on the walls. Love that the laundry room as the view is beautiful to look at while doing laundry the pool I have yet to get in but from the looks of it people always seem so happy, filled with laughs and smiles, the breakfast, oh the food... my goodness, I love the food. But even better, amazingly it is always so quiet and peaceful! Always!! That being said there are all kinds of families that stay here, it's just insanely peaceful, which has also allowed myself to do my job more efficiently and at complete ease. They always always ask if you need anything, anything at all, stating each available item thoroughly, as some guests can forget they have these things available to their use. Honestly, this may sound cheesy, too perfect, or as if this is someone trying to "one up the competition", not at all, this is as real as you can imagine. You can see that they take pride in their hotel as the rooms and all are very well kept and up to date. I have noticed a few reviews on here with negative remarks, and it still is an absolute shock to me as why there would be such words stated. Some peoples standards are so unbelievably high up, that they don't realize what an amazing hotel they are staying at. The ridiculously good price they offer, you will not see at most hotels now days, especially not this well kept or the beyond solidly amazing staff. All in all I honestly would hope others see it as a privilege to be able to happily stay in a hotel room, at this specific location. The way the staff work together and the way they treat their residence's will forever shock me from this day on. Absolutely 100% hotel to stay at when visiting salt lake, and or just for a nice get away. This was my first time here, and definitely won't be my last. Ill never be able to pay back the gratitude they deserve, it's impossible. My highest suggestion to those who come to stay, treat the staff and such like gold, as they put up with more then they should have to. Thank you to the Residence Inn Cottonwood location's staff for treating everyone so well and showing that no matter the situation in peoples lives, their is always light through the darkest of clouds, they are there to provide the upmost comfortable way, to be exceptionally happy, during your every day stay. A special massive thank you to Greyson the exceptionally outstanding manager, you are amazing at all that you do. I wish you absolute positivity throughout your every day and life. You deserve it more than you know.

Read moreNot LGBTQ+ friendly and racial prejudice manager. I stayed here for close to a month off and on cause of my job. It’s usually my partners daughter and myself when I stay. I have never had a guest over nor has my partner ever even stayed here up until this last stay. On the 19th of august 2022 I booked a single night at the residence inn my life partner and his daughter were present at check inn. This is one of many check ins equaling almost a whole month total in the last 6-7 weeks. I almost always book with Priceline just because the rate is the lowest and I’m trying to avoid spending more than I have to. Well apparently my first room flooded and soaked all our bags and so we were moved to another room on the 2nd story. I must mention as well that my partner is (African American) black. All these accusations occurred only after he came to stay. I was informed at check out that I am no longer welcome to the property. A little confused I asked what reason is it they have and for why? I was told that I book my rooms far too often on Priceline and because of this and an incident in the past completely irrelevant to me where a interracial couple renting here was also making drugs and they had booked through Priceline. So because they feel that because I had booked through Priceline I must be making drugs in my room. I asked why they would even come to this conclusion as neither of us use drugs nor do we look the part. I asked was there something they found perhaps. I was told that nothing was found or anything but the first room I was moved from smelt funky. I reminded him of the flooded bedroom. I was told I booked all my stays through Priceline and this was another reason and then he claimed they had trouble receiving my payments from Priceline. So I asked him exactly what payments. I told him I will get Priceline on the phone immediately and we will correct anything that wasn’t paid. He then couldn’t give me a payment they didn’t receive. Then I was told I have either friend or daughter written on my bookings and just seems odd I have that filled in. I said I don’t fill in the friend section that’s just automatically filled in sometimes I correct it and put daughter as an additional guess but I can’t help it puts friends on it’s own. I was banned from the hotel. It’s very odd that this was all the sudden a problem yet nothing to back their assumptions. I will discussing beginning litigation with my attorney as this is very obviously racial discrimination and homophobic discrimination. They had no issue with me till I brought my partner and introduced him as such at check in then suddenly I am banned from my favorite hotel for allegedly cooking dope stealing hotel stays making dope and having raving parties out of nowhere. Definitely not for being gay or with a black man as my partner. It’s ok Marriott you ignored my formal complaint let’s see how a big noisy public...
Read moreMy husband and I have stayed at this Marriott Residence Inn in Cottonwood several times; it is our go-to ski stay. Being post-Covid, Our most recent stay witnessed a decline in cleanliness, upkeep and quality/selection of breakfast items. Our room had a sink faucet in the bathroom area that leaked from the control valve and flooded the counter top each day; we wrapped a wash cloth around the base of the faucet to absorb the moisture. It appeared that the faucet was corroded and in need of replacement. A couple of the towels, as well as the bed linens had thick, black hairs that stuck to your hands and clothes; they were not mine nor my husband’s as he is bald and I have short blond hair! One side of the sliding closet door in the bathroom area was coming off the track; we had to lift it to put it back on the track and stack to one side. The refrigerator in the kitchen had decided smudge/sticky marks on the handle and doors. There were a couple of utensils missing, as well. The breakfast food selection was at best 25% better than during Covid; there were no freshly prepared food items, everything was pre-packaged food but heated for consumption. There was in dining allowed. There were only oranges available as a fresh fruit alternative, with hot oatmeal and 3 dry cereal options. It appears that this Marriott location, as it continues to age requires a higher level of maintenance and attention. The cleaning staff needs to be paying (training?) more attention when cleaning each room and report the maintenance issues. As with the faucet in the bath area, it was leaking profusely and should have been addressed prior to our arrival. This was clearly evident when the room was being cleaned/turned over. There was also a communication issue upon checking in; we were told breakfast was served 6:30-9:30am weekday. The actual reality was 6:30-9:00am. There were several other residents throughout the week that showed up after 9:00am only to find out this was...
