PuzzleConnect Escape Rooms — Attraction in Holmdel Township

There is a lot I could say about this place - all of it extremely positive. I’m sure most people just want to know how the rooms and customer service are to which I can assure you that they are top notch. What I really want to go over in detail is why this place is so deserving of your business.

We played all of the games here, and none of them disappointed. Speaking as someone who had done over 150 rooms by the time I played the rooms here, I can personally guarantee that you will have a great time with their games. Everything is extremely well maintained, the tech works flawlessly, and the gamemasters are so attentive. They are currently building a 4th room, and I’m extremely excited for what they have in store given the strength of their current offerings.

PuzzleConnect is run by the most amazing owners (Frank and Christina) on the planet. They are very responsive to emails and will do their absolute best to make sure you have a great experience. I emailed them ahead of time that one person in my group would be celebrating his 100th game here, and they went above and beyond to make that game special. I still can’t get over how great a gesture this was as my 100th game was nowhere near this special. To compound on this, I had mentioned that I was about to jump into running my own escape room, and they really went out of their way to show me everything behind the scenes as well as answer any questions about the owner experience. I’m not sure I’ve ever had a better customer service experience in my life. I will definitely be flying back from Florida once their next game is out (perhaps for my next milestone game? 👀)

A+++ people with A+++ escape rooms. Could not be more excited to go back. My partner and I were absolutely blown away by how awesome our experience was at PuzzleConnect. They clearly prioritized developing an escape room experience that is intentionally-designed and accessible to everyone across all levels of familiarity with escape rooms, and they knocked it out of the park. We visited PuzzleConnect to do The Candy Shoppe room after seeing great reviews, and along with being such a pleasant and nostalgic room to be in, the puzzle and set designs were spectacular! Every detail was thought through, and it shows up in the gameplay of the room. Absolutely flawless puzzle flow. Having played over 100 rooms at this point, Candy Shoppe easily made it into our top 5. We just wish we could go back and do it all over again!

After finishing that room, we couldn’t help but stick around and try Frozen in Time, and it did not disappoint. Consistent with seemingly everything else at PuzzleConnect, the intentionality behind each detail in Frozen in Time made it such a fun room. We even stayed behind to talk about the rooms with the owners for a while afterward. They were unbelievably gracious with their time, and just authentically kind people - we loved getting to chat with them!!

Everything about PuzzleConnect is done to the highest level - the rooms, the customer service, the waiting area, the merch, even their social media presence - the entire brand that Christina and Frank (the owners) have established makes us so excited to see what they will do next. Puzzle Connect deserves every great review they have and THEN some. I can't stress enough how fun these rooms are. You can absolutely tell the amount of care that goes into every aspect of their planning- from the themes of the room, to the insanely creative puzzles and immersive decor. The rooms are very cinematic and help contribute to the feel of an experience VS this just being an "escape room." We felt completely immersed in the story of each room and our one regret is that we don't have any more rooms to finish here. The staff all felt like they really enjoyed being there- that's a good sign no matter what venue you're in. The clues were JUST enough to help us escape but not over done to the point where we felt like we didn't earn our victory. I called before reserving the room and spoke to Christina who helped surprise my wife for her birthday (SPOILER COMING) by leaving a really well designed card (designed by a staff member actually- KJ) in one of the last puzzles of the game.
