Koi Sushi & Hibachi — Restaurant in Hazlet Township

We decided to go here... our first time, for my birthday this past weekend. We made reservations for hibachi - for myself, husband, and 2 children. We were seated on time which was a plus. The food was average, not much different from any other hibachi. The Cook was great with the kids, which we fun. However, why we plan NOT to return was the fact of how RUSHED we were through our dinner!! We purposely picked this place as it is BYOB and we had a great bottle of wine to share and relax. I was STILL eating my meal and they were out TWICE to ask "me", the birthday girl, should they bring the cake out and did I want a box. Our reservation was for 6pm and this was 7pm. There is no possible way to make it through hibachi meals and a bottle of wine and dessert in an hour's time, but THEY had reservations for our table! The waitress was short, particularly w my kids. And we were rushed out of a meal we were PAYING for... so terribly disappointed and will NOT...

THIS REVIEW IS FOR THE HIBACHI ONLY because that’s all I had so far. I was craving some hibachi for dinner today. I ordered the chicken and scallop hibachi which came with a soup, salad, fried rice, noodles, and vegetables. The portion was HUGE! It’s definitely a great value for your money. The hibachi was good, I liked that they put a lot of hibachi sauce on the scallops and chicken to make it more tasty. I thought the noodles could of used more flavor, but the fried rice was good. You definitely get your money’s worth here just look how big my dinner was. If your craving hibachi definitely check...

While it is 5 stars all around, I wish I could give 6 stars for service, the waitress was great, we ordered the clear soup (which was AMAZING), and she counted it as the complimentary soup with my Bento box, which was very nice. My lady relished the fresh and large chicken and shrimp (her signature Hibachi dish), while i salivated over the rare, steakhouse quality portion in the center of my box, accompanied with fresh sushi, dumplings and more. We both took a box home. The place was welcoming, chill and comfortable, and the service, oh, the service... We...
