Villas of Holmdel — Attraction in Holmdel Township

My parents moved to the Villas and we couldn’t be happier. Most importantly, as their children we wanted them to be safe, well loved, fed, entertained, and comfortable. We have all that and more. The Villas is absolutely beautiful inside, with tons of activity rooms, gorgeous spa and pool, expansive bar for fun evening events (I loved bingo night!), beautiful library, fireplaces lit, and wonderful grounds outside. I have stayed in their beautiful room for families and I’d rather stay there than any of the local hotels in the area, not to mention what a wonderful benefit. Have kids? There are video games, arcade games, pool tables, basketball nets, pinball, air hockey (my favorite) and more for everyone to have some fun and adults to let a little stress out. It’s fabulous, literally. Did I mention the activities? Billy Joel night, Christmas parties (which my sister eagerly attended at the Villa’s bc it was so fun), seasonal events, Nutcracker and regular performances or concerts in their performing arts theater. HUGE movie theater with big cushy seats and all the fun popcorn and old school candies and sodas (beer too) you enjoy when watching a flick. They post a daily activities log and each day there are a plethora of things to do and they are insistent and consistent on changing it all up each day, each week to keep it fun and interesting. The best part though if I haven’t sold you yet are the people. There is a wonderful concierge named Jill who has taken us under wing and responds immediately to our every need - our situation has not been easy for a number of reasons, for them and for us, and they continue to prioritize my parents and us and to do what’s best for my parent’s care. Katie and the nursing staff work with us daily with the ever-changing health circumstances w our parents. The medical staff is responsive, immediate, and exceptionally caring about their residents, but also their residents’ families. Liz at the front desk, Cindy in family services team - just terrific. Go to the spa with Tina!!!!!! - 5-star, rejuvenating, my mother loves the facials she always looks like million bucks afterwards and WE ABSOLUTELY love the massages and facials too, amazing. The staff in the restaurant lovely and kind, and welcoming always. I could go on and on. I live far away, I sleep at night knowing my parents are at the Villas in Holmdel. My dad was fortunate enough to live at the The Villas recently for about three months before his passing. Every day he was there, I wished we had made the decision to move him in sooner. It is truly an incredible place with so many activities, lovely people and excellent care. I went to sleep every night knowing that my dad was not only taken care of but loved by all. Their calendar is filled with numerous daily activities that provided amazing opportunities for social interaction and stimulation. From trivia games to crafts, and bingo to soap making just to name a few. The world class facilities and building are gorgeous and the nursing staff/aids are just incredible. Having an onsite Doctor and RN along with the PT, OT and speech therapy staff all in house is extremely convenient and they are highly knowledgeable. The variety of food offered daily at the restaurant was incredible and we enjoyed family dinners in the main dining room, private dining room and also utilized the full kitchen and ovens for Easter. TheVilla's of Holmdel is a quinessential Senior Living Community and the first of it's kind. It is groundbreaking offering an equisite community with upscale decor, and a professional staff like no other I have had the pleasure of dealing with. Asmat Mumladze the Executive Director is class personified, professional, skilled in her field, personable, and runs the Villas like a well oiled machine. From the custodial staff with Mario and JB, the Aides, the Kitchen serving 5 star meals daily, the Nursing staff headed by Katie Curtain along with Joan and Stephanie Volker. The care you recieve for your loved one is to exceed all expectations you could have ever imagined. I placed my parents there after a catastrophic illness that left my mother medically and psychiatrically compromised while my Dad still independent. Asmat and her team guided my family to give them the quality of life they deserve and the peace of mind we all needed to know they were happy and safe.
