On 19th March 2025 we placed an order at the Deli at the Sedanos in Homestead for a very special event that was picked up around 2pm on Saturday the 21st of March 2025. Let's start with placing the order. The order was for 3 pounds of congris, 1 pound of tostones & 1 pound of maduros, all was clearly & carefully written by the staff member (super nice lady BTW) and all was paid for, price was perfect, no complaints there. Let's fast forward to Saturday the pickup day, another super nice lady brought out the order that was placed on a rolling cart and she transferred the three trays herself to the shopping cart. We went to the customer service & bought 6 bags of ice. When transferring the 15 pounds of congris to the our vehicle it was noticed that the congris was in a very weak inappropriate aluminum container that bent in the middle, we probably lost a plate full of congris in the parking lot because of the cheap container Sedanos provided to the nice people in the deli department. Finally, we had upwards of 30 persons at the very special event. No one tried and bypassed the tostones and we kept wondering why. We tried one and couldn't get a bite in. Whomever made the tostones was clueless on what tostones are and how they should be made. One thing for sure, these were like flat hard plastic & unfortunately we just had the maduros & congris which BTW were just above average, perhaps a 7 on the 10 scale, also everyone was super nice, to bad there's zero quality control. Lesson learned for sure. Thank-You & we'll remember this outcome for...
Read moreI have been a loyal customer of Sedano's Supermarket # 31 in Homestead for some time, and I must say the experience here is truly outstanding. The store is always impeccably clean, well-organized, and bright, making shopping a pleasant and efficient grocery shopping experience. The produce department is fresh and diverse, offering a wide variety of fruits and vegetables that meet the highest quality standards. The meat and seafood sections are well-stocked with fresh options, and the bakery delights with delicious, authentic Cuban pastries and breads.
What really sets this Sedano's apart is the exceptional customer service led by the manager, Mr. “David”and his team. Savid is often visible on the floor, approachable, and genuinely committed to ensuring customers leave satisfied. David fosters a friendly and helpful atmosphere among the staff, who are courteous and knowledgeable. The checkout process is smooth, and this store maintains very competitive prices, especially on staple items and Latin products.
Additionally, the in-store cafeteria offers fantastic Cuban-style meals and exquisite and potent freshly brewed Cuban coffee, making it a perfect spot for a quick, tasty bite and for meals to take home to my family.
Overall, Sedano's # 31 in Homestead is an example of a community-focused supermarket that balances quality, service, variety and value. Kudos to Mr. David and the entire team at Sedano’s # 31 for creating such an exceptional shopping environment. Highly...
Read moreI went there early Saturday morning for fresh bread, ham and coffee for my wife. I was greeted with staff who ignored me and my wife; extremely unprofessional! We picked up two loaves of bread and went to the deli for sliced sweet ham. There were four associates working and one person being helped. We stood at the counter waiting, no other associate would assist. When two other customers walked up they were immediately assisted by other associates who I guess didn't see us standing at the counter looking right at them.
Maybe its because we dont speak spanish? I don't know, but it is absolutely disgusting how they treated customers who were willing to spend money there. I will never return to Sedanos and I will also share my experience with everyone. Whether it's the Homestead location? I don't know, I have been to over a dozen Sedanos and this one stands alone. Management and corporate should be ashamed they have a business this big treating...
