Paki Playground is our neighborhood playground. The play gym is under the big monkey pot trees. A plus to shade our keiki under the hot Hawaiian sun. The swing area is not shaded and the swing could be hot during the midday hours. There is no pool at this park but a large playing field. I don't think organized sports is allowed at this park, since Kapiolani Park is the designated park of organized sports.
Update. As of 12/11/2017 The homeless person count is Zero at the park. I think they moved to Crane Park on Kaimuki Ave. Pepe, one of the homeless person was very friendly and nice. He kept the park clean by sweeping up debris and trash when he was staying at the park. God bless him...
Read morePaki Playground near Waikiki is a great spot for little ones to burn off energy. My kids loved not only the slides and swings but also running around the green patches of grass. The park has plenty of parking nearby, though the area can get busy since it’s close to the zoo and Waikiki Beach. I appreciated the mix of local families visiting, which gave it a welcoming, community feel. Right around the corner from the zoo, so its perfect for afternoons after being kicked out. There's also a YMCA? Bldg w/ bathrooms avail that seem to have a lot of chaperone-like ppls watching the kids play while waiting for parents to pick them up.
Its really a decently clean playground w/ a big open grassy field area good for kicking balls around or a nice picnic. There should def be more benches or tables but good ting there's low walls to sit on. Love...
