Sadly this was one of the worst experiences I've had, but then I'm comparing it to massages in other parts of the US and world. The receptionist was loud. During the entire massage I heard every conversation she had with customers and staff. Her walk was even loud. I told her that the conversation with the lady that came in before 7:30pm was excessive because my massage guy Tony saw that I was uncomfortable. He didn't speak English and so when I told him it wasn't him but the conversation across the room that was bothering me, he called the reception over. Her response to my complaint was, "it's over now." But yet every customer afterwards who was coming in or leaving, she was still loud. She even was raising her voice in Chinese to the staff. Tony even asked her when I spoke to her about my complaint what was the issue (Shi shen ma?) and she told him it was all good (hen hao). It wasn't. She is loud and disrupting the zen. And Tony who was nice, but seemed new. I told the receptionist twice I wanted ONLY foot reflexology when I checked in. Emphasized nothing else when she seated me. Clearly she didn't communicate that either. I got a leg and foot massage and had to let Tony know (by hand signal) that he didn't do the pressure points on the bottom of my right foot. He started with the left. His massage on the right was not the same as left (missing components on the left and forgetting the most important part on the right).
The receptionist knew at check in that I was displeased by the fact that in the email I sent to book, no one told me that credit cards had a 4% charge. So upon leaving imagine how much more annoyed I was for her to tell me to tip Tony with another card swipe. Why didn't you ask for the tip to be added on the first card swipe? Why didn't you communicate that (because I told you upon checking in that I didn't have cash and would have gone to the ATM had I known) I'd need to swipe my card again for a tip. I thought it was odd she didn't ask if I wanted to include it on the initial charge. Even Lyft asks before the trip is complete for the tip. Despite her saying the second swipe wouldn't have the 4% charge, I had no desire at that time to do anything but leave and write...
Read moreThereâs no way the reviews on Google are by real people because my boyfriend and I had the worst experience at this âspaâ. So many red flags- the bathroom is the public bathroom on the outside of the building, parking $3, 4% credit card fee. I really should have known better when I called at 5 to make an appointment and they were able to take 2 of us in the hour- clearly no one is going here! The cleanliness of this place is questionable at best. We were taken to the back in a private room and there were weird stains on the walls/floors in rooms we walked past, bugs flying and overall just a sketchy vibe. Nothing about the massage was relaxing either. I really wanted to leave once the massage started but they make you pay before you even sit down!! My masseuse had rough calluses on his hands and his finger nails were scratching me the entire massage. It was freezing in the room, the sheets they use to cover you are thin and so are the towels- scratchy too! I could go on & on. If you are even thinking about this place just run away. We were idiots thinking we found a deal because this place was so...
Read moreCame here on our second night of the trip as I was tired from the jet lag. Called around 8:45pm after dinner on a Saturday and was able to make an appt for 9pm. Did a 1 hour massage (half body, half foot massage), masseuse applied good pressure for both and I felt relieved after. Massage is done âdryâ with your clothes so be sure to wear comfortable clothes. Even though the massage took place in a semi private setting (curtains dividers used), I felt very relaxed. There were a few other customers but space was very quiet and clean. It was a bit hard to breath when I was getting my back massaged with my mask on since the head opening was a bit small on the table. Paid parking lot downstairs and street parking available (free in...
