On/about Oct.29,2022 at 6:30pm we went to Party City Nimitz Highway, Honolulu store. We wanted to buy my son’s halloween costume. Our first choice was #5243 and told to your staff our order and she listed it. We were waiting for like an hour. When your staff in orange uniform called my name & told us that the item is out of stock. So then we wanted to check another one. When i told your staff that i want another item and told her the item code she said i wait because she was entertaining another customer. So, i patiently waiting next to her. When she done getting the order of the other customer. She just left me & entertain another one. When i told her its my turn she just turned her back on me & entertain the other one. I was so disappointed that she gave that attitude after waiting for an hour for nothing. So i just softly tap her in the shoulder to get her attention and i said excuse me it’s my turn to order and she answered back & yelled at me “You just wait and Don’t you touch me!” Like i was shocked because we were waiting patiently and my 4yr old son is having tantrums already because it’s taking so long. Your staff gave us her cutomer service very very bad & disappointmet! I hope this complain of mine will get to her and she’s aware that what she did to us isn’t right. So me my kid & husband just walked away to not cause any commotion at the store. Wen went home feeling devastated because we were treated like that for doing nothing wrong...
Read moreThe Party City is part of some kind of storefront on the streetside of some kind of construction company's building. All of the Nimitz accesses are outbound only, you have to go to the back to find an inbound lane. You have you drive behind the building, an alleyway sort of, avoid hitting the people and trucks parked on the side, cruise around the front and then you hit a T into the parking lot. You have to choose left or right and take a chance that there are parking spots. Most of the spots are reserved for the construction company so very few spots are for customers. It's all very cramped. Whichever way you chose, if you can't find a spot, you gotta go all the way around the building and try again. You mine as well park in the Home Depot next door. I didn't bother going in the store, tried 3 times to find a place to park and then decided that there were places that make it a lot easier than Party City to...
Read moreParty City is definitely my go to store every year for my son's birthday. Although I tend to go to the Waikele location as it is more convenient for me, this one is a lot bigger and I think has more selection of items.
Again, I think for some of the more generic items Walmart may be a better bet price wise, but when you are looking for licensed characters usually Walmart doesn't carry that much. I usually price shop between here and Amazon to see who has the better deal.
This place is very good for balloons. Not that they are priced well (because its usually cheaper at Walmart or grocery stores), but they have a HUGE selection of balloons. They will not, however, blow up balloons that you did not buy from them. So usually you can buy their balloons and have them blow it up, or rent a tank from them, or buy one from...
