Smiley Nails — Attraction in Honolulu

I usually don’t like to post bad reviews but I just had a terrible experience at this salon. I got a gel mani, regular pedi. First and foremost I was CUT! By the cuticle cutters! And she continually stabbed me UNDER my nails with them! How do you do that? She used a file drill to get my old gel off and kept filing over my skin which hurt. None of my nails are consistent or what I asked for. I asked for square toes and my nails were def long enough and she cut them sooo short and not a square in sight :/. The nails are so uneven as well like one side is filed much shorter than the other and I was trying to tell her but she did not understand I guess. So they’re crooked. The left big toenail is way longer and the right one is filed all down so there’s skin showing 🤢 as for my fingernails, they’re all different shapes and lengths. The gel is bumpy and inconsistent. She goes to the cuticle on one side of the nail and the other side there is a space with no polish on the nail. The bottles were really gross as well. At one point another tech had to come over and fix the shape but didn’t help much. There’s places on the nail where there is no topcoat. It’s just all hella ugly and just not a good experience please...

Absolutely AWFUL service!! I recently moved to kahala so i googled nail places and this one came up. First impression after arriving was that the building both outside and inside was very run down. I didnt care because based on experience i know that sometimes places have an awful appearance but GEMS for nail techs inside. Long story short I was WRONG. they do VERY poor quality nails. It took about 1 hr and 15 minutes for a basic full acrylic set with a gel Polish. They charged me 87 dollars for basic services. I had no problem paying that price because I normally pay around that for mani and pedi . Every suggestion I had for MY nails were countered with a reason/excuse as to why I should get them a different way. ie an the most easiest way for him . The nail tech had a major attitude! The nails are extremely thin and oddly and unevenly shaped. The gelish Polish is very uneven and I am very unhappy with my experience. It is my third day and they have already lifted. This is my first and LAST time coming here. Please don't...

I've been getting my nails done here for almost 8 years, and I will never go anywhere else. The owner Steven and his wife Karen are the ones that usually do my nails and they are the best. Karen specializes in the glitter fade as you can see with my Valentine special Nails in the picture below. I rarely make an appointment and when I walk in I almost never have to wait. Their quality of acrylics are amazing for me I only have to go once a month to get a fill and my nails never break off or chip. I clean houses for a living so I use my hands a lot and these nails keep nice all month long. Prices are good too. I absolutely love this nail salon and would recommend...
