READ THE REVIEWS. Period.
There is this rude girl people are talking about in the reviews... I just had to deal with her.
The first time I went, I cuted my hair with Zoey. She has great, she listened, and patient. Went again after a few months. She was being rushed by this rude girl. It was a disaster. Part of my hair was shorter than the other, there were parts longer between and the full back, and was a bit shorter than I wanted. Went there to fix it after a few days. Gosh, I wished Zoey was there to fix her own cut. This girl was rude from the moment I arrived and explained. I was very nice about all this. No good morning, no i m sorry, no compassion at all. She started saying that she did not like the ends that I wanted, then she cuted in a straight line, which I said I did not want. I asked if she needed to do that so she could do the point cut I wanted. No direct answer. Then she said she had to blow my hair dry. I did not wanted but let her. Then she started cuting my hair again without explaining what she was doing. The front part was shorter. Instead of being considerate to me, explaining what she was doing, she kept paying attention to other costumers arriving. Then I started to ask her to explain before hand what she was doing... she started to attack me, with the full local attitude, then refused to continue service. I requested my money back while she continue to go on me. I tried to explain how ridiculous the situation was and then was attacked by her next costumer coz I was speaking too much. Yes, when I realize this girl did not care what I wanted and was just doing her thing in my hair, I made sure she listed to me and the damage would not get worse. I know this type of hairstylist... they know best everything, they will do stuff without your permission, and get angry at you. No professionalism. Went to another hairstylist, she agreed what I wanted was the best, fixed the ugly straight cut this rude girl did, gave me her opinion about the front, and did an amazing job and it is beautiful. I'm happy and satisfied. i suggest to always talking to the stylist before sitting in the chair... if they have an attitude, if they have no patience, too much attitude, angry type, DO NOT LET THEY...
Read moreWhile I understand this is a budget hairdressing franchise, I feel I didn’t receive a haircut that met even that standard. I understand I was a walk-in client, but with only one other person in front of me and another arriving during my haircut, there shouldn’t have been any rush.
I was happy to be able to walk in, sit down, and get a haircut quickly. However, I became concerned when I showed a picture of my hair length and style from over 8 months ago, and the hairdresser said my hair was still the same length. The haircut I requested was simple: a zero on the sides, with an inch and a half to two inches off the top, and some texture on the top. Somehow, it ended up uneven, though I didn’t notice until I got home. On top, they literally pulled the hair straight up and cut straight across in a line. There was no edge-cutting, angling, or texturizing, and the whole process was done very quickly. I then received a warm towel across my head and face.
I’m aware the hairdresser didn’t know I have skin sensitivities and was wearing a special cream on my face. However, consent is important when touching someone during a service. The hairdresser accidentally rubbed half of the cream off my face before I had a chance to mention it. The whole experience felt rushed, and the technique wasn’t up to a great standard. I’ve studied hairdressing at a beginner level, so I know the basics. When I got home and checked the haircut, I noticed it was completely uneven, even though she had cut in straight lines. I had to fix it myself to make it look passable.
In Australia, we don’t tip hairdressers, and I didn’t know it was customary to tip here until after the appointment. I feel somewhat bad about not tipping, but at the same time, I had to fix my hair myself, and the service wasn’t great. I don’t blame the hairdresser, as they should be trained and upskilled when working in a salon, but overall, I’m still giving three...
Read moreAfter going through the reviews, I found that only Mele is a good hair stylist at this location. So, once she did my hair cut and I liked it. But second time I was very very disappointed and unhappy with the service and hair cut, because I made an appointment 1 day well in advance with Mele. But when I reached the Salon well before time early in the morning, the lady in the salon asked me and I told her that I have an appointment with Mele, then she told me that Mele is not here. So, I told the lady ok I will wait for her, then after 2-3 mintues the lady said that she is not sure whether Mele is coming today or not. I told her that I had an appointment with her, then she called Mele and confirmed from her that Mele is not coming as she got some health issue. I felt very unhappy, because I made an appointment 1 day in advance and especially came to the salon for my hair cut on that day. So, I thought to have hair cut and then leave, and I asked the lady if she can give me a hair cut. She agreed, but she did it very unwillingly. I told her what I want for my hair, but she said that whatever Mele has done last time to my hair is the best and she cannot do anything else other than that. And she just took only 5 mins to complete all her job on my hair. And when I made the payment of $29.32 for the worthless job, she also wanted me to add tip on top of that, and when I made the payment without adding any tip, she looked at me as if I have done any sin by not adding any tip. I was very very disappointed by the whole thing which happened to me on that day early in the morning. By this I feel that the Supercuts are not at all professional...
