Second Visit: Our second visit we had Cass as our host for the Special Opps room - so so so so amazing!!! If you’re expecting a challenge, plot twist of the century, and fun challenges - I would definitely recommend this room! Great clues & commentary from Cass and Darius - both rooting for us to win lol. If can, i definitely would recommend having them! Thank you guys for such a great experience!! Will probably be back again lol.

Third Visit: Another amazing & fun experience! We had Zayn as our host for both The Depths and The Heist - he was soooo funny & down to earth! The clock was ticking down and Zayn has us locked in so we could escape lol. One of the more challenging rooms, I’d say have maybe 4 people to go with. Definitely if you can, have Zayn as your host! Thanks for such a fun time!

Fourth Visit: Our fouth outting we did Gold Rush and had Rian as our guide. Seriously one of their best rooms, great for small groups, and so much clues to look for - definitely my favorite room! Thank you Rian for such a great experience and for all of your help (we definitely needed it LOL).

Fifth Visit: We’ve been here SO MANY times already (a testimate to how great our experience has been!) and we did Playground with Pono as our guide! Another amazing room, so much to do (granted we only had 3 people lol), but everyone had a couple of tasks & clues to find. And thank goodness for their never-ending clues button, because best and believe we used it every single chance we could lol. Thank you Pono for being such a great host!!!!!

Sixth Visit: Can you guys believe it, this is our SIXTH VISIT! We did Prison Break with Rian as our guide. I keep saying this but this has been such an amazing experience with an even better host! Another challenging room, but doable with three people!

Jesse and Halena saved my date night!!! As my girlfriend and I side quested around Ala Moana waiting for our reservation, the Escape Games called us about 50 minutes before prior informing us that the group before us had cancelled and were allowed to arrive early and start our escape room. This was immediately a green flag. Upon arriving, Jesse greeted us with a warm and inviting energy. Not only did he provide a simple and seamless check-in experience, but his professionalism was nothing short of a customer service master class. He then introduced us to Halena, our "game-master," who promptly explained the rules and instructions of our room (The Heist), and watched over our experience delivering insightful and motivating clues. She kept the integrity of the game intact by not just giving us the answer in the clues, but rather directing us in the right direction, allowing us to still figure out the puzzle by ourselves. We finished the escape room and just when I thought our time couldn't get any better, we were greeted once again at the front desk, by none other than my GOAT pick, Jesse. He explained to us that if we were interested, we could play a second escape room for a discounted price (40% off). We were reluctant, however we decided to trust our instincts, for at this point, I saw Jesse as not just an Escape Games employee, but a messiah of our generation. He let us know he would be our game master for our next room (Gold Rush), and he led us to the room to begin the rules briefing. Once again, they knocked it out of the park with this room. The creativity of the puzzles, paired with Jesse's clever and astute hints, left both me and my significant other walking out of the establishment with ear to ear smiles. Cannot say enough great things about the Escape Game - Honolulu! We had previously done one of their rooms, Gold Rush, at their Minneapolis location ~5 years ago, and back then were impressed with the puzzles and set design. We already suspected we would enjoy our time at the Honolulu location. However, what really stood out right away was the energy of the staff, and their obvious enthusiasm for their rooms and the art of escape! As for the rooms themselves, all are uniquely themed with sophisticated designs and solves! We started off with the Prison Break room, but found we couldn’t get enough and signed up for 2 more rooms after that, the Heist and Playground (so 3 rooms in 24 hours!) Each room had extremely unique elements so that the puzzles never felt stale or boring. While there were some challenging moments, the rooms are designed in such a way that you never feel stranded and completely lost as to what to do with a piece of information (at least not for long) which in my mind is the mark of a good escape room!

Finally, I’d like to give a special shout out to game guide Sharanne! If you are lucky enough to get her as your game guide, you not only get to experience her effervescent enthusiasm, but she also goes above and beyond to create “compliment cards” that she gives to each player at the end. These cards list exactly what everyone contributed to the rooms in great detail, and I think that is such a special extra touch that made a huge difference in our experience. She is the best, and I hope she wins...
