Walked in, and immediately could tell this would be a mediocre experience. But I did not expect it to be THIS bad. The single employee seemed like he hated his job. Ordered hot dogs and got basic hotdogs. They were microwaved and then handed over. Took so long to microwave we miss the first few minutes of the movie. (Not entirely their fault because we arrived 5 minutes before the film started) but still, no rollers, just a microwave. Then the film itself: the screen was dirty, with a massive cross shape in the center that was extremely distracting. The theater next to us was louder with more intense bass than our own. Had to close the door to our theater ourselves and even then the neighboring theater was too loud. During the film, I tried to recline the chair (not user friendly btw), and touched something sticky between my seat. I looked down to find a massive amount of melted gummies and popcorn stuck between my seat now clinging to my hand. We were in Hot Springs for vacation and decided to see a movie last minute to fill in some free time, and it makes me wish we would’ve just watched a movie in our hotel room. DO NOT EXPECT MUCH FROM THIS THEATER. The ONLY reason I’m giving this a 2 star review and not 1, is that this experience was SO BAD, that my fiancé and I have been laughing about it since we left the theater and how good of a memory it will be in the future. The whole experience was so laughably bad and awkward it gets a star for free. If the owner sees this, clean your screens, clean your lobby, and maybe invest in a roller for a few of your dogs. Thanks for the...
Read moreMy experience at this establishment left a lot to be desired. To start, we had to carefully make our way up the steps that were covered in ice from the wintry weather on Wednesday. It was Saturday when we visited.
We made our way into the theater, bought tickets and snacks, and settled into the screening room. It became clear right away that the temperature in there was probably colder than outside (like below 50°F).
We toughed it out for a while, but eventually needed to seek some relief. I headed to the concession stand to order some cappuccino (as it was listed on the menu board). The response was that they don't actually serve cappuccino...or coffee...or apparently even cookies that are all listed. They were going to check on the heat situation though.
After seeking a heavier jacket from the vehicle later, it seems the consensus was that there was issues with the heat in there. I do feel that amongst the 4 workers I saw there and the light traffic, that they could have discovered this and planned...
Read moreTheater was cleaned and staff was friendly. Ticket Prices are great too. Its clearly been bought out recently and the new owners really need to update the seats that have been in there since I first moved here 15 yrs ago. The theater I was in there was something wrong with whatever the theater equivalent of a subwoofer is. It sounded blown like when you turn it up too high in your car.
Another issue was the food. I like that you can dress your own popcorn and they have the coke freestyle machines now. A medium popcorn and drink came to $16, which is a lot but wouldn't be so bad but the popcorn was old and stale and they were out of most sodas including coke, diet coke, mr. Pibb and Sprite (which he kindly told me after I already bought it.) The point is on a Monday evening maybe don't make one batch and serve it for hours just make multiple small batches. Were paying 8$ for a little bag of it, least you could do is...
