I use the Kroger app which shows me the weekly sales & all the e coupons. When u select the e coupons it'll automatically give u the discount upon checkout when scanning in your Krogers card. Just select the card on your app & scan it when u start ringing up your items or the cashier will scan it for u I prefer Kroger meats over Walmarts, it is fresher. The butcher will cut your steaks to any thickness you desire at no charge even in their sales. I also prefer the produce dept. Walmart apples are always last yrs, sometimes I wonder if they r older than that! They r soft & dry not even worthy of turning into sauce or apple butter. The produce server been getting in our stores quality has deteriorated since Sunday 2020.. spending $1.75 for a cucumber or bell pepper you want to get the best you can. Doing weekly shopping you want your fresh produce & meats to b fresh by the end of the week. I told my mother I take my grocery list & compare prices between Kroger's, Walmart, & Sam's to find the best prices. When a gallon of milk cost $4.18 & lb of 80/20 hamburger $5.99 we need to make every dollar count so we can get our fave Blue Bell ice cream $8.50. Last week for the 1st time she went into Kroger on Airport Rd & liked it very much. We r West coast transplants & r use to massive fresh produce & seafood selection, shopping at Kroger, specially the big store on Central is what we r use to. I wish our local grocery stores would offer bulk sections where we can get all of ur dried food from beans, rice, herbs & spices, dried fruit, nuts, coming oils,.... As well as selling other products, laundry detergent, cleaning supplies, shampoos,.... We have got to move away from all the wasteful packaging & plastics that not only pollute the planet but r more found in ur bloodstream than cannot b filtered out. Buying bulk (I'm not talking about Sam's when u buy multi items in 1 package) will help the planet & reduce cost but...
Read moreI guess I won't be going back here again. Self-checkout employee helped me do a split checkout at 9:35 PM 06/23/2017. I did this not for fun but because I had next to no money and I needed gas for my vehicle to get to and from work for the coming week. It was busy and I was only buying cat food so my cat at least could eat. I had $5.28 in change and snagged the coins and my receipt but somehow not the bills. When I called this morning (planning to walk up there cause my car sure enough ran out of gas) no one knew anything about it. I have spent literally thousands of dollars there in the last couple years. You would think that they could at least offer to make it good, but when I told the customer service rep that was my gas money and I was on the side of the road because of it, I got a little laugh and a "Sorry.". Well, I'm sorry too, that I will never spend another dime in your store. I had my receipt and the exact time it happened so if anyone wanted to watch my tired self walk out without my change on video there it was, but no one could be bothered. It's not like I claimed I left a hundred bucks, I left my pitiful $5 which was slated to get me around until payday.
It's a fairly typical Kroger store, just don't expect any actual customer service there. Personally, I will never go back. I was already embarrassed enough about the change AND being broke down out of gas on the side of the road and getting laughed at and brushed off just really...
Read moreI sent my Fiancé in use this coupon I got in the mail for a free 24 pack of Kroger brand water. He goes to the self checkout and was told he grabbed the wrong pack. It was a Kroger brand, but was told it was the wrong one. So he asked if he should bring the pack back to the isle and they said yes. So he walked all the way back, grabbed another pack and went back to the self checkout. Got told it was the wrong once again, was shown a photo from their attendants phone the of “right” pack, and had to walk back to grab the “right” one. Not once, did any employee offer to help him find the “right” one or went to grab it in his place. There were two front service employees standing at the front service desk, who could’ve offered to help. One employee at the desk even spoke loudly across the room to tell him he grabbed the wrong pack. So he had to walk back two different times with a pack of water to grab the “right” one. Mind you, the coupon did not say anything about it being a specific type of water, just a 24 pack of Kroger brand water. The lack of customer service is appalling, compared to other grocery stores we...
