I have been a customer at Chrysalis Day Spa for at least 7 years. I have had multiple massages, some special packages, and pedicure. I am very disappointed in them today. I had 2 friends in town and we wanted to try to get a massage at Chrysalis (my recommendation) all at the same time. I called and they said they could get us in at 1:30. I gave them my name and they saw that I was a past customer. They needed the other 2 names. I gave them my friends name, but wasn't sure which daughter-in-law she had with her, but told them who I thought she had. They said they would need the name in order to put them in the computer. I told them I would call and have my friends call them. My friend called and was told that someone had gotten scheduled in one of our slots! I called them back and asked how that could happen. Apparently, they recently changed policies and required a credit card to hold slots....but she had neglected to tell me this! I thought it was all done! The girl on the phone (which was the same ding bat that messed up our appointments) never once acted like she was sorry. She, in fact, kept acting like it was totally our fault. She could have avoided the whole thing if she would have explained the change in policy from the very first. She also could have said "I am so sorry. I neglected to tell you that we had changed policies". I was fuming by that time and just could not accept the 3 slots at 3pm that...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI usually enjoy my day spa pampering at Chrysalis. Not on this visit!! I went for a relaxing weekend and after spending quite a bit of money, I left extremely disappointed. The massage was average. The gentleman did not work out my trouble spots as requested. My facial was the only bright spot of my entire visit. She did an amazing job. After lunch, my friend and I went in for our mani/pedi. I was starting to feel relaxed and it all went downhill from here. After sitting in the chair I noticed that it didn't work and the manicurist told me it was broken. She proceeded to tell me all the things that were wrong with their area of the salon. I slipped my feet into very cold water and quickly took them out. She worked to fix this problem in what seemed like forever. After no resolution, she decided to bring in bowls of hot water from the back. My pedi started......my toenails were cut crooked, she offered a wax treatment (which she charged me for...REALLY?) and when finished my polish looked like a 10 year old painted them. My manicure wasn't much better. The atmosphere in the mani/pedi room was extremely tense and very unprofessional. I learned a lot about things I didn't need to know. My daughter came to visit me for my 60th birthday and me and we like to go to spaās However, From from the moment we walked in the door until we left it was an unpleasant experience. Was not a welcoming experience. No one ever told us what our schedule was for the day we were left sitting a lot of time in between our treatments when we were served lunch it was not even what we ordered. The table was so rickety we couldnāt even sit and eat at it. They donāt even have tea to drink no way is this ever considered a spa experience and to make matters worse, they charged me for all the services on the day. I booked it 10 days before! What kind of company charges you full price for something you havenāt even received And not once did I ever receive an apology! And they totally ignored me as they were checking me out, answered the phone. I had to end up asking for my receipt. Yeah this was an absolute horrible experience management needs improvement in this facility big time. And you might make note of this one size robe does not fit all, the robes I had to hold together with my hand so I didnāt expose myself because they were so big!
