Great store & good prices especially during the sales in the departments I require supplies, but one of the Male workers. Possibly the manager of the store there was being really weird and obvious about watching me for some reason, heseemed to be profiling me from the back door of the store eventhough I have spent good money in that store on supplies I use to keep myself busy with things I enjoy doing while at home like mixed media painting on canvas, seascapes, skylines and aquatic life, portraits of people, my woodworking supplies for my woodburning and my teardrop window Crystal collection. I never thought of that store as one who would judge someone for misguided information or anything like that but they took the cake with bad customer service when I realized I was being followed and talked about from employees so I did what any red blooded american would do and returned all unused items to the store, I will no longer support them knowing that they judge their artist by misguided Information or just outright profile starving artist that used greenback american dollars to buy the products there on sale, so what I got excited to see the items there on se. It had been a while since ce I had the opportunity to spend over $148dollars on supplies for my artwork. It makes me sad, what would they had done to picasso if he showed up at hobby lobby after cutting his ear off? Would they have profiled him and talked between employees and customers about the playability of his mental status or reasoning in buying the items he chose to buy. I'd rather not associate with big corporations like this after the bad experiences I've encountered on thos occasions. Hell I'll make paint out of something natural or find another source locally owned or who appreciate all green money used in...
Read moreI have mixed feelings about this store... one thing they have going is they always have some sort of sale going on and have some super cute home decor that you won't find other places. It is fun to just browse through everything and check it all out, as they have a very vast selection! When it comes to actual hobby/craft supplies, however, you are better off going either online or to Michael's. The last several times I have been I realized how they hardly carry any real selection in fluid art/acrylic pouring supplies. Their resin art section is virtually nonexistent- they have some basic tiny molds and some resin epoxy box kits but not much else. My biggest complaint was when I bought some of their 2 oz. acrylic craft paints and a can of spray paint; several of the acrylics ended up being dried up and I couldn't use them while the spray paint I bought was messed up and wouldn't spray anything out at all. Overall, I still like to visit to check out their cute home decor and see what they have on sale but if I need any real art supplies I have been getting them off of Amazon. Hope this review helps someone in case you wanted to visit but wasn't sure it was worth it with the current state of the...
Read moreWhat's not to love about Hobby Lobby?
A store that has endless home decore items, silk flowers galore, sewing materials, baskets, arts & crafts, furniture accent pieces, and so much more. But Hobby Lobby is not setup to be a one time venture. To get the best prices you must go when they are having sales. Too often we go out looking to fill some household void and it might require products that may or may not be on sale.
Each items has an MSRP listed which seems to be overly inflated. For instance, a sign that says "Laundry" for your laundry room might be $75. When Hobby Lobby has sales this could be 40% or more off. It makes more sense, so for the weekly shopper, keep tabs of your needed items and refrain from buying when items are not on sale. For the weekend warrior, some of the items will be full-boat prices unless you spend the time to watch the sales.
Overall, fun shopping stuff, but it's definitely not a discount store unless you hit the sales...
