I would like to note that I have stayed at this location a few years back and it was very comfortable and clean at that time, so that is why we picked to stay there again when we came to have our wedding in Hot Springs this weekend. First of all we drove from Kansas City to Hot Springs so we were very tired and just wanted to get in a room and rest and being that we had stayed here before we just didn’t think before hand and just drove right there. We booked two nights Friday and Saturday. Our wedding was on Saturday evening. Ok let me start with the hotel room we were in. We got put in room 208 and we walked in and I noticed immediately that the rooms had deteriorated since our last visited quite a bit. The carpet was stained pretty badly but we were tired and it looked ok aside from being worn and dated. Well that night Friday night I saw a bug crawling on one of the beds and reached down and grabbed it and it was a TICK!! A baby one! But nonetheless it was a tick. I killed it and searched the beds and didn’t see anymore anywhere so I thought that was the end of it! Wrong! The next night after my wedding we come in and I asked the guy at the desk if there was anywhere I could store my wedding cake so it would not ruin, he said no there was not, ok no big deal. Then we went to our room and as I was about to get in the shower I saw another tick crawling on the wall! At this point I’m creeped out bad and my kids are already asleep but I walked downstairs to talk to the guy on duty but I could not find him anywhere. So I just went back to my room bc it was very late and I was exhausted. We get up the next day and are getting ready to check out and I go down and tell the lady on duty LaDonna about the ticks and she said she would close that room down and she did say if we were staying she would change our rolls but at this junction we had enough and were ready to get out of there. She did not offer any of means of making up for the fact that we payed 124 dollars a night to sleep with ticks! I had also asked her if there was anyway we would check out just a little later bc I had a test to take on my computer for college classes and needed somewhere to take it and she said no that we had to check out at noon! Then, as we were leaving she sees my sister carrying down my wedding cake and she ask for a piece of it! Now I am normally a very nice and giving person but not after you treat me that way and don’t even acknowledge the fact that we had to sleep with ticks in our room! Now I’m worried to death about a tick being on one of my kids or us or even on our clothings! So I’m having to wash everything that was in that room! This is unacceptable! Especially for the amount of money we paid for the room! I was also told that they do no allow pets so I’m not sure how the heck ticks are even in there but they are! I will never go back to this location again! This was supposed to be a very special trip for us for our wedding and instead I was up...
Read moreThey overbooked and didn't let us stay there. They had us stay at their sister hotel, Quality Inn. It was terrible. The beds were not queens, which is what we paid for. It was a low quality motel rather than the hotel we paid for. When I tried to talk to them in the morning about the issue the staff member at Country Inn said that the staff at Quality Inn would have to deal with any issues I had because I stayed there. However, when I tried talking to the staff at Quality Inn they said that they couldn't do anything for me and that it was Country Inn's job to take care of any concerns since that is who charged me. The staff at Country Inn was rude and hung up on me to 'handle' the situation. So, I called back. They very rudely told me they were working on it and asked 'What else do you want?' Speaking of charging, there was a $25 fee that no one informed me of, being held along with payment TWICE on my account. On top of that, Quality Inn is holding a fee of $55 on my account (they did inform me of that one). So now, there is a total extra charge of $250 that I wasn't aware would be held out of my account. So be prepared for that if you plan on staying. They argued at Quality Inn that the beds were bigger than queen sized beds. However, two people could barely fit in each bed. We have stayed in several hotels and never once had an issue with the queen sized beds. I do not believe they were queens at all. Two of our friends own a queen sized bed and also said that the beds we got were fulls. When I was asking the staff at the front desk about this, she was telling me she couldn't help me. I told her I had just spoken to the staff at Country Inn and she said that she also spoke to them and they have to handle any issues with payment. I asked her if she was 'Sunny', who the staff at Country Inn spoke to, and she lied and said yes. I called Country Inn on speaker even though she tried to persuade me not to. Once on the phone with them, I said her name was Sunny, and Country Inn said Sunny was a man. So I asked her again if she was Sunny, and she said she was not. Sunny is the manager and the staff member refused to call the manager saying he was on vacation and she "couldn't" call him (even though the staff at Country Inn spoke to him just before that). The staff at Country Inn then said they would bring me my bill and that Quality Inn would have to deal with the room price since I didn't get two queen beds like I had paid for. Both Inn's told me I was not charged twice (I showed them in my bank account I clearly was). Then, once Country Inn staff showed up, they helped Quality Inn argue with me about the size of the beds. In the end, neither staff member was helpful and I paid the same amount for a hotel with two queen beds, for low quality motel with two...
Read moreSo where do I start.. From the guy at the front desk dressed in a t-shirt, shorts and flip flops and telling me about the vicodin he is on for a tooth pain or the peeling wall paper in the bathrooms, fridge that didnt work, large stain on the carpet in the room. The staff in the morning behind the counter is no more interested in helping the young lady in the dining area when trash is overflowing onto the floor. The ice machine on the third floor is broken ( its summer time folks ) security lights outside are down, very dark at night...and the roaches we found.. Yeah for a hotel that I paid $125 a night and then $284 for two days with taxes.... I wont be back folks... Its pretty bad here... Very substandard for a hotel bearing this name.
ADDITIONAL INFO as of 9/1/2016.. After sharing my concerns with corporate and after receiving a bad review, the GM attempted to send me a poor excuse of an email. It wasnt until I continued my back and forth communication with Corporate that the GM called, left a voice mail and while he claimed he was sorry for the shape of the hotel, he also used it as an opportunity to justify his poorly ran hotel.
Corporate finally returned back the money spent and I must add, the people at Corporate cared, and at that point, I considered the matter closed, until I started getting email sign ups for Gay Websites, Gay Newsletters, I ended up with a Fraudulent Craigslist ad stating I had a room for rent ( it is finally removed but only after being investigated by their internal review folks ) I had prank telephone calls..
I had the IP addresses checked, and they came from Hot Springs, Arkansas, and can you guess where... yep from the hotel and the GM himself. This is a form of Harassment which i did report to local law enforcement, I turned over all info related to gentleman and told Corporate I wish no one any ill will but behavior of this kind is disturbing at the minimum. I am of the opinion this GM should never work in hospitality again.
I felt the need to share this follow up information so others do not get burned in the process.. Please avoid this country inn and suites until Parth Patel is no...
