Read moreI usually don’t leave negative reviews, but I feel compelled to share my experience because this is the second time I’ve encountered very poor customer service at this store. When customers visit, we are not looking to argue or cause trouble; we simply want answers to our questions and a better understanding of what we are buying. Today, I went to the store to purchase some food, and unfortunately, the employee who was working was extremely rude. When I asked him a simple question, he raised his voice and yelled at me for no apparent reason. This type of behavior is unacceptable, especially in a customer service role If someone has a short temper or struggles to interact with customers in a polite way, they should reconsider whether a job in customer service is the right fit for them. This isn’t the first time I’ve experienced this kind of treatment at this store. On my previous visit, I noticed a similar attitude among the staff, which was very disappointing. It’s upsetting to encounter employees who seem to have a negative attitude toward customers, as it creates an uncomfortable atmosphere for everyone involved. In contrast, I have visited another location in Dallas where the staff was genuinely friendly and eager to help customers. They made the shopping experience enjoyable and welcoming. Unfortunately, the situation at this Houston store is quite different. It feels like many of the employees here have ongoing conflicts with customers, which is very concerning. As a responsible customer, I believe in treating everyone with respect and kindness, and I hope that management will take this feedback seriously to improve the experience for everyone who visits the store. We all deserve to be treated well when we...
Read moreI recently visited this store a day before Thanksgiving to buy plantains. As soon as I entered, my 2-year-old son sensed the smell of food and expressed his desire to eat. The store has a restaurant area, so I asked for pasta. Before she served it, I noticed that the staff member was rude and impatient. Despite this, I asked her twice if the pasta and meat were spicy, and she assured me they were not. I made sure to clarify multiple times because I know that Nigerian food can sometimes be spicy. I even mentioned that the food was for my son, not for me.
Afterward, I sat down to feed my baby, but on the first try, he complained and refused to eat, asking for water instead. I decided to taste the food myself, and found that it was indeed spicy. I calmly approached the lady to explain that my son couldn’t eat the food because it was spicy. To my dismay, both she and another staff member looked at each other and started laughing. I asked if it was a joke to see us in that situation, and the lady who served me replied, “I’m not laughing at you; it’s just that the food is not spicy for me.”
I was shocked by their insensitivity and stupidity. I just want to make sure you all know this: I could easily sue you for your irresponsibility and likely win. Many people would be desperate for the job that you seem to undervalue, as your attitude suggests a dislike for what you do and the opportunity you have. I hope you never find yourself in the same situation that I and his father faced when I tell him...
