I have been involved in BJJ, Thai boxing and other martial arts over the years, as well as being a regular in the gym for even longer than that. I had been just going to the gym since the pandemic but wanted to get even more active and increase my cardio fitness. I had been looking for a boxing gym for about 2 years that was in my area. Coming from a background of training with real fighters, I didn’t what to go to a cardio boxing gym. I wanted a real boxing coach. As luck would have it, I learned about Breach Fitness from a very good friend who started boxing at Breach and posted about her experience. I took my first class in June 2023 and have been a regular ever since.
Coach Jimmy and Daniel have been outstanding boxing coaches. I thought I knew some boxing when I got there, but I had just scratched the surface. My boxing skills have grown greatly in the last year with their coaching, it’s both exciting and rewarding. People of all ages and skill levels come to class. There is a lot to learn from the coaches and fellow students. I have been to gyms in which newcomers were not very welcomed by the more experienced members, but I can say that is not the case at Breach Fitness. Coach Jimmy has trained both amateur and professional fighters, and he also is an excellent beginner boxing coach. He truly cares about his students’ development and works patiently with you to get it right. If you get discouraged, he is always there to lift you up and take time to teach you proper technique.
I like Breach Fitness so much that I brought my 19-year-old son to try out boxing. He has been a regular ever since. In addition, my 17-year-old son has received personal training from Coach Daniel. He’s a high school baseball player and Daniel has work with him to increase his sprint speed and hand-eye coordination. It’s a family affair for us.

I had never really strength trained in my life. I’ve not only gotten physically stronger each week, but I’m mentally stronger too. It really doesn’t matter if you are a professional weight lifter or starting your fitness journey from scratch like I was, the workouts are always adjustable to work for you and make you a little stronger each day. Tracking my progress so far has amazed me. I could barely bench the bar and now I can bench 70 lbs.
