This was my second time at the Fizz location in the Heights: the first time was a 5 star service, the second was a 2 star service, so it averages out to 3 stars. My first time was fantastic for a gel manicure! The first time was with a gaggle of girls with a reservation. The large location was easily able to fit all of us easily. The pedicure chairs have massage functionality (ahhh!). They were able to accommodate my special request for hand painted detail (I showed them a picture from Pinterest, and they replicated the complicated design beautifully. My gel manicure started to chip around week 5, and I finally revived it at week 6 (great quality manicure: I'm also not hard on my nails). The second time I went by myself and had significantly lesser quality service (the check out employee made sure to clean up my skin around the edges when the technician had left some color on my skin around and under several of the nails the second time I went. Since she did this final polish check on her own unprompted, I appreciate the attention to detail and the quality control to fix it before I left). My appt was actually supposed to be for another gel manicure, but the technician suggested I do a dip, claiming that it would be stronger and last longer (3 weeks specifically is what she told me for the dip). By day 5, two nails had a crack in the polish (not my nail, only the polish was cracked) and two were chipping at the edges! Highly disappointed with the quality, especially given that I found out when I checked out that the dip cost more than my original plan for a gel manicure (the technician didn't warn me even though I had told her that I had never had a dip before). They offer you a drink while you get your nails done (only negative is that it's in styrofoam cups rather than a clear plastic, which felt a bit off for the wedding party, but I didn't mind when I went by myself). Variable quality of service. Highly recommend for gel polish, not the dip!

Very disappointed in my recent visit with Fizz on shepherd. The past two times I went i left feeling very happy with the quality of my nails and the nails my daughter had gotten at the same time were amazing! As another client stated, it depends on the tech. When I came in around 4pm on Friday, I requested gel extensions WITH DESIGNS; it was busy but we were quickly seated and attended to. The tech they had sent to work on my nails told me she was UNABLE TO do ANY line work, so I settled on an ombre glitter, and which she said she COULD DO. As the photos clearly show, thats NOT what I received. When I left, it was an hour before closing, there was excessive glue build up under half of my nails and GAPS between the extension and my nail on the others, which can lead to water getting trapped and other dirt. So i came back first thing in the morning when there would be time to rectify my issue. They had the same tech redo my nails and the ones she had to remove were almost worse than the original. My quick is damaged and the nails are CROOKED. All i received was a $10 certificate, which I will be using to go to another location to have this set soaked off when I get back from my vacation.

Originally this would’ve been a very negative review, but I will say they recovered pretty nicely. My first experience was the Washington location and it was honestly awful. She was pressuring me to get a design I didn’t want (cat eye) proceeded to do it and then got frustrated when I didn’t want it. Charged me more than originally said, then the nails I did want were still awful. As well as my pedicure the nails were bubbling because they weren’t cured right apparently. I didn’t have time to keep fixing things due to I was there for a while already and needed to leave for work. Nevertheless, I called the manager about two days later due to work. Told him the whole situation he offered for everything to be fixed. I went in, they offer complementary drinks, sat me right away (I was early). The staff was very friendly. They were also very quick and they didn’t make me feel bad at all for wanting to get my nails fixed. That part especially made me feel great because it’s always scary complaining about your nails because you don’t want to be THAT person. Overall, my first impression was not great at least at the Washington location, but I do recommend the Shepherd location.

I came to fizz on last Friday and had a horrible experience. I walked in at 6:34p. Hannah at the front desk asked me if I had a preference of techs… two of them were at the back desk looking at their cell phones. I asked for Steven. When she went to tell him, there was a loud conversation in a foreign language. All the techs in the room glanced in my direction. The one sitting next to him spent minutes laughing while Steven remained looking at his phone with one headphone in his ear. Another tech, Kim came to do my pedicure. Hannah came back eventually stating that Steven said he is waiting on a client and the only other tech that would be available to do my nails when she was done with her current customer was Lynn who is new and did not know how to do a gel overlay (what I asked for). She told me that I could only get shellac when she is done. I sat there from 6:34p to 7p waiting for Lyn to help me while Steven sat at the desk looking at his phone and talking to the other tech next to him. Lyn started my nails at 7p, she was kind and asked me if I was okay after I expressed to Kim that I was upset about how I was being treated, they both apologized. It honestly felt like discrimination and without saying this aloud Kim told me a random story about a black man that has treated her very nice. I’m not upset with Kim as she obviously thought sharing this story would make me feel comfortable. While I am happy to hear that she has had a great experience with someone of color, in this moment it almost validated how I was feeling. Steven left at 7:15 and his “client” never showed up. There was no apology or a conversation. I told Hannah that I needed contact information to file a complaint and she told me that they didn’t have any so I had no choice but to go to google. When I first start coming here, I loved this place. I thought it was diverse and welcoming. John, who I think is the manager and wasn’t there at the time can testify that I would bring new people with me when I came for services. I literally drive from the gulf gate area all they way to the heights to go to this Nail shop because I believe in patronizing businesses that threat you with fairness and dignity. The customer service here is has become less than favorable…. And my trips there have dwindled. After this incident I will...

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Fizz Nails, and I must say it was an absolutely delightful experience from start to finish. This nail salon truly knows how to create a haven of beauty and pampering that leaves you feeling rejuvenated and glamorous.

From the moment I walked through the door, I was greeted by friendly and professional staff who made me feel right at home. The salon itself is impeccably clean and exudes an aura of elegance and tranquility. The calming music and soothing ambiance instantly put me at ease.

The technicians at Fizz Nails are true artisans in their craft!!!! They exhibited exceptional attention to detail and took the time to understand my preferences and needs. Whether it was a manicure or a pedicure, their skills were evident in the flawless execution and precision of their work. The range of nail colors and designs they offer is extensive, allowing for endless creativity and personalization.

I was particularly impressed by the commitment to hygiene and sanitation. Each tool and workstation was meticulously cleaned and sterilized, ensuring a safe and hygienic environment. This attention to cleanliness further elevated my confidence in their services.

What truly sets Fizz Nails apart, however, is the level of customer care they provide. The staff went above and beyond to ensure my comfort throughout the entire experience. They pampered me with gentle massages, warm towels, and even offered a complimentary beverage, making the visit feel like a true retreat.

Another standout aspect of this salon is their commitment to using high-quality products. The polishes and other nail care products they use are top-notch, leaving my nails looking vibrant and long-lasting. They also offer a range of additional services, such as nail extensions and gel manicures, all of which are executed with finesse and precision.

In conclusion, I wholeheartedly recommend Fizz Nails to anyone seeking a top-tier nail salon experience. The combination of a serene atmosphere, skilled technicians, exceptional customer service, and commitment to hygiene sets this salon apart from the rest. Prepare to indulge in an oasis of beauty and relaxation that will leave you feeling pampered, confident, and ready to take on the world.
