Office Depot — Local services in Webster

My order was correct when I finally picked it up but it was a headache to get and not finished on time. The employee that took my order was helpful and informative. I said i was concerned about getting the order in 24 hrs because it was for a party the next afternoon. He said it was a small order and would be no problem to pick up by noon the following day. He advised that there are autonotifications when orders were ready and if i hadn't heard anything i should call the next morning 30 or 45 min after opening. When I called, the lady in print area was rude and said she hadn't looked at orders and had no idea when my order would be ready. She had no desire to be helpful or provide any information about a timeframe. I said I'd been told it would be ready by noon because we had a party that day. I called back at 12 30 and the same employee told me that she couldn't find my order at all and wasn't sure when it'd get done. When I dug out my order number and receipt she said the order was half done. I was so frustrated I asked my husband to pick up the order. Would not use Office Depot ever again- too much headache and not reliable. Staff seemed incompetent on day of pick up although when I dropped off my order the man that helped me was very helpful and informative. Was there about 6:45 p.m Maybe 3 customers. Looked around for help...person at print desk had a customer. Checkout had a customer....so I stood and waited as I needed help finding high end pen/pencil set. After after 2 minutes waiting. I moved closer to the checkout to hear what was happening as the lady had NO ITEMS. The clerk was totally into her conversation without once looking up or around. As I drew closer, I heard the conversation....I was just wondering how an incident like that would be handled in your store!!!!!! Clerk's response as I'm leaving the store to take my business elsewhere, was...Well to be perfectly honest.....Really. Really Really!!!!!! I spoke to another POTENTIAL customer as I was walking out....they are gossiping .....Dude....doesn't matter what happened somewhere else. You just had 2 customers walk out the door because gossiping was more important than assisting customers with cash ready to make a purchase. Been shopping there for many years....no help, 2 visible employees working and one is gossiping. Great going Dude! I'll be taking my business somewhere else. If u could rate a zero i would. I normally do a lot of self-serve printing. I order online and then I just have to pick up items So I go in to scan a pretty large document that I was having trouble doing at my office. My expectation is ease of use and convenience The machine stopped 2 pages in and just circled for several minutes. So I asked the gal at the print and copy desk because it was circling she said there's nothing I can do about it if it's circling. So clearly this is something that has happened before. Then I asked her if those machines were my only option. She said yes. So a human being standing behind the print and copy center with all of the fancy machines is not able to scan a quick document for me? It's lazy and even rude when someone walks Into your place of business and is dismissive and uninterested. Small business owner here. When u needed their attention I was completely disappointed 😞.
