Yea, the place was a hole in the wall. Met a beautiful goddess named Catherine there. Smart as a whip, and beautiful as Venus. Yet it's a locals bar, and of course I'm not a local so, of course when you bring something to the table that is not offered there like good looks and intriguing conversation the women tend to flock towards you and the local dirt backs don't like that, even the female bartender was being rude, don't know why, maybe cause I wasn't hitting on her. Great place on a great night. Mary the bartender was on point with beers, witty comebacks and her juke box selections. Unsolicited, she even brought over plates of Mexican shrimp cocktail that the guys grilling on the patio had brought. And the regulars there were happy to strike up random conversation with us about the history of the bar and their neighborhood, el Segundo Barrio (Second Ward). Icing on the cake was the newest decor: a racoon trap with food and water in it....

One of the realest dive bars I've ever been to. You feel like you need to take a shower the moment you walk in. If you're standing, you're in the way. Saw a fight happen 5 feet in front of us in the chain linked patio area. Dude got kicked in the face and had a chair smashed on his head. It felt like a cage match.
