GoJui Acai & Smoothie Bar — Restaurant in Houston

This review reflects my overall experience visiting Gojui consistently for about 3 months, usually 1–2 times per week. I feel I’ve had a fair sampling of their açaí bowls.

The bowls themselves are delicious—probably the best I’ve had. They’re always packed, flavorful, and offered at a great price. However, the main issue I’ve noticed is inconsistency. Depending on who makes the bowl, the ingredients, portions, and even accuracy of the order can vary a lot. We usually order the same bowls, but sometimes items are missing, swapped, or extra ingredients are added that aren’t on the menu. Over time, we could almost predict what kind of bowl we’d get just by seeing which employee was working.

On our last visit (Sunday 08/31 around 3 PM, before moving away from the area), one of our bowls came with chia seeds and coconut shavings—ingredients we’ve never received before—and was missing the condensed milk and Oreo crumbles it usually comes with. When I pointed this out, the employee insisted that’s how it “normally” comes, even though that hasn’t been our experience. They did eventually remake it, but it was done reluctantly.

Overall, the bowls are yummy, but the inconsistency is frustrating. If they could fix that, this place would easily be a 5/5.

I’m definitely going to try and go again because my toddler and I love smoothies. & the fact I got a response tells me a lot about how much they care for customers. I love supporting small businesses and can’t wait to go and finally try this place. Thank you 🫶🏼

Update* I went today and woah amazing customer service and the smoothie I got was so yummmmmmy! Also the fact one of the workers (who I believe was on break) offered my toddler fruit. He got up & made her a little fruit bowl meant a lot. She tore it up! & they have a kids book section that she loved so much. I can’t wait to...

I met the owner Jimmy! He is a local Houstonian starting a side hustle for the Segundo barrio. Never have I seen an all natural smoothie place here and this is exactly what I've been looking for, for years. Perfectly placed in-between the train tracks on Milby. I purchased the raspberry lemonade icee! Perfect and an acaí bowl. Both hit the spot and we're so delicious....
