The management is passive and ridiculous. I spent over half a year telling them that squat rack and hypertension machine have missing pins. The squat rack is obvious. For the hyperextension machine, the rotating knob never locks with a hole, so people using it might cause it to slide and fall front. I tried so many times to ask the management to address the issue, and the issues are still here today. I firstly told the front desk this problem many times with different staff, and nothing happened. Then, I met the owner Layn, and his solution is to take away the back part of the hyper extension machine and told me that this machine is going to be thrown away. So, for 2 months, the hyperextension machine has its foot lock missing. Somehow people put the foot lock back and I tried to email the management again asking for the pin. A staff called me, he inspected the situation and agreed that there is an issue. A month later, nothing happened still. It’s just so interesting that the pin is a simpler $5 Amazon fix, and it took me so much energy to firstly persuade the management there is such a problem and then beg them to fix it.
Update: now they replies and says it’s fixed. No, there are supposed to be 3 pins, and it only has 2 pins for the past half a year. I have no idea where is the fix, and they ask me to reconsider the review? Ridiculous! Photo is from 1 days before I make...

Pros: They had all the essential equipment I wanted to work out. Racks, dumbbells, cardio equipment, hip thrust, chest press, pull down, cables, turf, tires, med ball, bands. Friendly staff.
Cons: Training clients and classes are prioritized. No guest passes. And they lied about the length of my membership and I was charged extra. The classes did not bother me because I was told when I signed up there would be classes but the personal trainers would sometimes just set up equipment and clients right in the path of where I was obviously just doing a workout. I'm a travel physical therapist so when I go to a new state and gym I make it very clear when I am done and when my membership needs to end. The individual that signed me up repeatedly told me I was signing up for a 3 month membership and after the 3 months my membership would automatically end. This did not happen and I was charged for an extra month. When I called they just told me that was incorrect and you have to cancel yourself online. No refunds. I would have recommended this before but the end was...

I have been coming to Facet for the last three months to train with Coach Mekel and it has been the best decision. I no longer have an excuse to not work out. The gym has everything you need. It has A/C (very important with this Houston weather), always clean, bathrooms are great and stocked with all necessities, and Coach Mekel is simply incredible. Aside the fact that the gym has everything you need and more, the tailored private sessions have been exactly what I needed. Two years ago, I had an accident and injured my back. Since then, I’ve suffered from back pain and had little to no flexibility. Coach Mekel has helped immensely in strengthening my back and overcoming my injury both physically and mentally. After just a couple of months I’m able to do dead lifts. For me, that’s a win. Having a coach that understands where you’re at and where you need to be is key to success, and feeling comfortable and safe as a woman makes coming to gym and working out...
