Took advantage of a free afternoon in Houston, and visited the Dunham Bible Museum, located on the campus of Houston Baptist University. I went in with no expectations, and came out a wiser and more spiritual person. The pictures below follow the path of the museum exhibits, which focuses on the creation of the first Holy Bible from manuscripts and scrolls. It highlighted the importance of the invention of the Gutenberg press, which was simply a modified grape press that was used to make wine. For the first time, Holy Bibles were mass produced and available to all.
The second half of the museum provides a timeline of a history of the United States, with its intrinsic ties to God and Government.

Read moreI was in town for the “Inanimate Insanity” creator tour this weekend with my daughter and after waiting in the merch line for the highly anticipated goods, my card stopped working!!! So we were initially only able to get 2 items… The gentleman that helped us was SO awesome and after I fixed the card issue he was kind enough to allow us to buy the other items we had to leave the first time. We visited the museum the next day and thankfully he was there working again and we were able to get a selfie! I’m so sorry I forgot your name, but you made my daughters and my special trip to Houston amazing! (Also the gal who was working the door wa very helpful. Read moreAbsolutely loves this museum. Went there on a school field trip with some second graders. Our guide was very informative and let us take our time to ask questions. The museum itself has an easy to follow layout that follows a chronological order. I was fascinated by all the new information I learned, there is so much history to the Bible and Bible printing. The kids loved the mini bibles and I enjoyed seeing several copies of authentic bibles.
