The wait is ridiculously long. Staff is not nice and helpful at all. I regret choosing this hospital.

After waiting for more than 3 hrs, we're able to get into the room, and the first thing that the NP/PA did was lecturing me how this ER is not for the condition that my grandmother has. I was shocked to hear how she can lecture me without even listening to my whole story yet. I guess she is pregnant and was stressful with too many pts that night, but that is not the way of a professional talking to an 84-year-old woman with an active infection sitting waiting in the ER room for more than 3 hrs to listen to her lecture. I had to interupt her and literally cut her off to tell her why I think my grandma should be here. I guess she didn't know that I'm working in the medical field just like her too, and I'm working at the Medical Center, which probably as busy as her ER or even more! I totally understand it's 1AM in the morning and you're having a lot of patients, in which some of them were abusing the ER for non medical need. However, just by looking at the 84-yo woman who weighs less than 40 lbs with an active infection (not to mention that this PA was even scared of touching my grandma's mouth to inspect the infection!), have some respect and empathy for the patient as well as the family member. She was probably tired, and I was too. I was working 10 consecutive days in the same stressful field like hers but without an attitude and still giving her some respect for thw white coat she was wearing. However, this is my first and will be the last for this ER unless MMH SW can provide employees with a little more nicer attitude and less judging the patients without listening and knowing what they may have gone through, which may explain the reason why they are here in your ER. I come here to share the story not to tell you to not come here because I know MMH is a good hospital, but to let you know to speak up and correct their bad attitudes toward patient's care. But I will probably never go back here in case I see that lady again and it'll be a very ugly conversation with her, which I will be the lecturer...

I had my two children in this place years ago, it's impressive how hot it is like people have no humanity I went with my girl who had an accident and they left me waiting in a room without telling me anything, it was cold, my son took off his equipment . monitero and they didn't even notice due to abandonment... ok after a long war since there was no pediatrician in that hospital being an emergency we decided to leave and they treated us as if we were fugitives from the law we just wanted adequate care for our daughter not being worried parents we were not there they never wanted to give me the results of their tests and thanks to Gigi a true angel a girl full of humanity who helped us calmed us down between so much uncertainty and poor work by that team on July 29, 2022 early in the morning the worst The person who was transferred to the Texas children's hospital was here. The person who was in charge of going with us treated us so badly that I came to think it was a kidnapping. She was as if she was carrying an inmate and my crying daughter just wanted a hug. We were scared. This lady denied us. being close never cared about the suffering that we were going through, my daughter collapsed because of her, please, if you see her, don't ride, it's her ambulance, it's real monster .. be very careful for this job you need people with a lot of heart and empathy that was an animal when we got off they went so fast without it being an emergency that they almost ran over me for shaking hands with my daughter who was just scared and they pushed me I felt that it was racism and a lot of hate I took photos because I know God will do justice but you take care of her and her team at the hospital everything changes there if you are humane and responsible doctor Felipe a wonderful human being and excellent professional my respects please do not forget the face of the lady from the ambulance wears glasses clear eyes and full of piercing bad appearance looks like everything except health...

This has been the most depressing trip to any hospital I've ever been to in 33 years. Hours in the waiting room getting skip over then 6 more hours in the back. My wife had kidney stones which took 3 days for them to do surgery, she had pain a infection and extreme nausea. They didn't give her any nausea meds so she just started throwing up and since she throwing up she can't take her antibiotics or pain meds. Full circle we been here 15 hours and it's been terrible. The nurses here are trash alarm beep all morning they don't care patients in pain asking for a nurse 58 (yes I counted) times till he fell out of bed for help another guy asking for help and nobody care they rather talk about chicken Jamaican restaurant and oh no what he or she wants I don't want to help my wife crying they don't care rather talk about a patient got pregnant with a co worker behind her husband. Even kids get no help after 4 hours she got meds then was told we are being admitted but we don't have a room there are 541 rooms it's been 4 hours and counting and nothing she supposed to be hooked up and on meds and fluids and haven't been for 4 hours while they talk about how cute the transporter guy is. I'm crying in pain for my wife and me in the uncomfortable chair after hours. I see why they won't let you record or take pics cause if so nurses on the pod b 4th, 9th floor...
