Our experience was below average. My friends and I have been to over 30 escape rooms and we were really looking forward to this one. We did the Zombie Bunker. However, from the moment we walked in, it was not a good experience. The host opened the door for us and gave us a weird look as if he wasn't expecting us. Turns out another group had showed up right before us and booked the room via telephone so their appointment wasn't on the schedule. It took the host a minute to figure it all out.

When you're in the room, you communicate with the host via walkie talkie. I don't like that system because it was hard to understand him. Secondly, he kept calling in to make sure his battery was working. That was a little annoying.

As for the Zombie Bunker, it was kind of a let down. The door leading into one of the rooms and the door getting out of the room were stuck so we didn't know we were done with a room until the host told us to push hard. One of the clues required a schematic which was never given to us. The host just had to give us the answer just so we could move on. No fun.

The room was not as hard as I thought it was going to be. It was nicely decorated and had cool props but I was not impressed by the difficulty.

Usually, when my group likes a room, we come back to finish the rest of the rooms in the facility. Unfortunately, I do not think we will be coming back. The whole experience left a bad taste in our mouths.

If you want to know my favorite escape rooms in Houston so far, they would be Strange Bird, Cipher, and The Escape Game. Runners Up would Crazy Kat's and Escape The...

Normally, I'm pretty low key on my birthday and like to enjoy it in the comfort of my home with my family. This year I decided to venture out and do something for my wife instead. My wife had been wanting to go to an escape room for some time now. I decided to do this because I was looking for some adult activities to do and it just so happened that escape rooms were one of the activities that came up while I was searching online. Honestly, back last year when she had first brought it up, I was against it. When the escape rooms came up, I decided to go ahead and give it a try. Although it was my birthday, I wanted to do something for my wife. When I told her about it, she was ecstatic. I let her take over and pick the escape room that she wanted to go to. Since it was getting late, she chose the Escape Zone since they were one of the few locations that would still be open. I just made one request to select the most difficult room that they had. We selected the Tesla Room. The Zombie Bunker is labeled the hardest on the website, but we really didn't want to deal with that theme. I must say that we really enjoyed ourselves. It was fun working together to figure out the clues in the room. When first entering, it seemed it would be so simple, but it wasn't. It was a great opportunity to spend some time together. My wife wants to make this a monthly activity. We can get competitive when it comes to these types of activities. I look forward to trying out the different rooms that they have available. My whole perspective about escape rooms...

We brought a birthday party gang of folks and booked 2 rooms: hotel escape and zombie bunker. I was so excited to experience this since there were so many great reviews. But after attending I would say stay as far away from here as possible as it is a huge waste of money and time. We’re pretty regulars with escape rooms - this was probably between the 10th or so spot we’ve tried, having booked rooms in Houston, DC, NY and LA, and this was BY FAR the most underwhelming experience ever. The facilities are in complete disrepair. And when I say disrepair I mean there were nails sticking out of the wall which were not part of the props, dirty props and when you pull up you’ll think you pulled up to a very bad area. The young woman working today was super friendly and very helpful (best part of our experience actually was her friendliness) but there was no acting or dramatic build up for the rooms whatsoever like other rooms we’ve validities, and we could t really understand our hostess at all as she tried to provide instructions and clues. Needless to say we will not return and advise others to save your money. Try the Escape Room Houston in Memorial City - that’s probably the best one we’ve been too with excellent decorative rooms and...

My Sugar Bear & I enjoyed the Crazy Artist escape room at Exit Lab. It was our first time here (but 3rd escape room). We enjoyed the level of difficulty, but we were offered helpful clues when requested from a walkie/talkie system. It definitely had that personal interaction touch from the employees, and we thought it was our favorite so far. I appreciate that they offered a $3 discount for our first responders. How about a teacher discount as well? The location was close off the feeder (easy to find), and it was a PERFECT date opportunity on a rainy Saturday afternoon. We finished with 15 minutes to spare. Suggestion to owners: I would have done a 2nd escape room on the spot if there would have been space and a 1/2 off discount for a second room. Just an idea because my Sugar Pie and I enjoyed it so much. Thanks for the FUN! 🤩

We stopped in for The Return as a family of 3 on the week before Christmas. The Return is very difficult and actually 2 rooms in 1 that can also be booked individually. We finished the first room, but probably needed another 15 to 20 minutes on the 2nd. Despite that, we had a great time. The puzzles were cleverly built. Ivan was helpful while preserving the challenge when we asked for clues. The best part of this place is that the bookings are private. This is the main reason why we chose this place over a couple others closer to where we were staying. We had such a great experience that we returned on Christmas Eve for Crazy Artist. We found the missing painting. Again, the puzzles were fun and challenging. Ivan was our game master. We'll return next time we visit Houston.

We had an amazing time here! I took my kids, and it was the perfect mix of challenge and fun for the whole family. The puzzles were creative, engaging, and just the right level of difficulty to keep us thinking without getting frustrated. The staff was friendly and explained everything clearly before we started, making sure we felt comfortable and ready to dive in. The room itself was impressively designed, with immersive details that made us feel like we were part of an adventure. Watching my kids work together to solve clues was a highlight, and we all left feeling accomplished and eager to try another one! If you’re looking for a fun family activity that encourages teamwork and problem-solving, I highly recommend Exit Lab Houston. We’ll definitely be back for another challenge!
