I brought my friend as a guest to work out with me for the day and the girl who was helping us was very rude. She said that my friend had to pay $20 for one day. My friend did not have her card, only Apple Pay, so I asked the lady if there was any other way it can be done. I also asked her was it necessary especially because she wasn’t even going to be there for more than an hour. This is when she started to have a really bad attitude with me. So I let her deal with my friend. Then my friend went back to get her water bottle that she left and she gave her a free pass and told my friend, “ your friend almost ruined it for you” even though the policy is to give her a free pass anyways. She had an attitude with me from jump because I saw how she was trying to take advantage of my friend. She also told my friend to not tell me anything about there conversation. This was very unprofessional and disrespectful. Especially because this is a gym for a Christian university. To add on this gym allows the elderly to attend this gym. Some of these elderly people especially the men make the environment very uncomfortable for us college students to workout at comfortably. They make inappropriate remarks and inappropriate looks. There is no one taking accountability or action being done. In fact i asked for the girls name and they wouldn’t give it to me. Matter fact they said they didn’t know her name which is a lie. Because the girl was complaining about me to her .Nobody at the front desk wanted to help me. I would not recommend coming to this gym. It is definitely unprofessional and not...
Read moreI'm a alumni so it is nice to be back in the hood where I was 45 years ago and I found that my school has grown into a beautiful campus and it is now connected to the hospital grounds and a retirement midrise , all in a huge landscaped park like setting. To have this wonderful gym close to me is a big plus as it is for Sharpstown . Clean, safe, filled with light, and enough room so that there is little waiting at any time. I never worry about my vehicle in the parking lot. I wish the hours were longer on weekends though, and the holiday closings forced me to join another gym . The addition of new eateries now adds to the whole appeal . I do miss the little cafe that was inside the gym , that was very handy and it was healthy food . I've been a member since 2012 . I have been a member of many gyms for the past 30 years, and I highly...
Read moreThis is a great gym. Located within the University grounds, it's open to the public. They have an entire floor of gym / exercise equipment, pools, spa, saunas (dry and wet), basketball court, tons of classes from crossfit and power lifting to jiu jitsu. Yes, it's more expensive than your typical planet fitness type gym, but you get so much more. the showers are new, locker rooms have plenty of room with built-in locker keys, and the trainers are first rate. I've seen some negative reviews and they don't make any sense. Every one who works here is courteous and always available to help. I've been going here for three years and have never had a negative interaction with anyone. Can't...
