Hermann Park Lake Plaza — Attraction in Houston

A month ago I moved to Houston from NYC and I couldn't find a place in the city that I liked, this park makes me remember Central Park for its lakes and the zoo as well as its sidewalks! Lovely area within Hermann Park.

Parking in Lot G, E, or F are all rather close to this view of the fountain and the plaza. There are often performers playing music and a fun ambiance throughout the entire plaza. I was not so impressed, may be because it's still feels like winter. As a person just came from Colorado and never been to Texas before, I expectation was to be much warmer and green scenery with colorful flower. I guess winter is cold everywhere :). I love the new flowers coming out in some trees welcoming the spring and very glad to share...
