As a kid I used to play there everyday in the early 70’s (when it was called Southwest Tennis Center). I was even taking lessons from Lee LeClear. He would roll in his grave if he could see the conditions there now. Major cracks & dips on almost every court, and the wind screens are falling down. Very poor on staff maintenance, with little attention from the city. Yet, this center is still home to many big tournaments. It’s rather pathetic and embarrassing. City of Houston, do something!

Great facility for tennis and tennis needs. They also restring rackets here. So many courts to play tennis and have been coming for years for tennis tournaments. Always run well and everyone is super friendly. They could use new wind breakers but it's worth the price.

If you like play tennis, this is a great place to have fun. The rate is cheap, two dollars per hour. You can reserve online at its website.

Getting a court here is much easier than at Memorial, and the courts are now in good shape. However, the woman who manages the facility in the morning is habitually late (and unapologetic about it), so I don't recommend making a reservation for 7:30 a.m. The bathrooms need attention. Security is indeed non-existent, and I try to take with me as few things as possible when I come here. Overall, the ease of making a reservation is great, but it's not nearly as nice as the Memorial...

Worst hostess courts my husband and i have ever been to! Just played in a tournament and the staff inside was extremely rude (it was just one woman) but the bathrooms are poorly maintenance and she didnt like her job enough to take care of keeping things clean. Sad to think people come here outside of Tournaments. Make sure you use restrooms somewhere else before coming here....
