Another recommended stop to test out for our new Pho spots in town.
While the Pho had a wonderful and delicious flavor. The service could leave you wanting more.
Arrived as the only people in the restaurant, at their opening hour (11am). Where we waited to be serviced for quite sometime. We were addressed, but not quite sure what the hold up was for???
We eventually place our order and pay. +15-+30mins and sit down. Only to be called back up to the counter to ask which ingredients for our bowels.
Now when you pay, they do have a request for a tip. However, at this point, nor during our visit was there any service. You going through the line and forgotten about. Never checked on, asked for more, nothing. (PS we did tip)
Now when we ordered those extra items, they charged us, and were forgotten when we received our order. So you may want to make sure you get what you ordered. Take a look at the beef bone, little to no meat. Sold individually Cut! (NEVER SEEN THIS DONE ANYWHERE) just check my reviews to compare.
Lastly, I asked about their noodles selection. The employee noted they are made fresh by them. (will cover this blow, video of them wrapped)
When our spring rolls order finally appeared. (Almost done with our phos) It was on a styrofoam tray, sticker, and wrapped in cellophane. (Pic) Taking a little extra time to provide a plate or tray would go a long way.
These two items the fresh noodles and spring rolls are exactly what can be picked up from the Viet Market. Presentation and all. It’s not what you’d expect at a sit down restaurant.
I could be mistaken, but the only thing that’s made is the broth w fresh chopped ingredients. While it is a damn good broth. Just a shame on the rest.
For those that don’t know better and ok with the over charged experience. The service or lack there of, really brought it down for us.
Try at your own risk, at least...
Read moreTLDR: DO NOT RECOMMEND. OVERPRICED AND THE FOOD WAS BAD.
I just finished a bad bowl of pho with meatballs (Pho Bo Vien) from The Pho Fix. My husband had a Pho Dip (a Vietnamese sandwich with a small Pho Ga broth as dip) that was equally disappointing. I ordered the food online since no one from the restaurant picked up their phone and picked up the meal from the restaurant around 6 PM on a weekend evening.
BADLY PREPARED FOOD. I paid extra for the "fresh rice noodles" when I saw it as an option for the pho. When I started on the pho, I realized the noodle was hard and un(der)cooked. The meatballs were not warm, as if they had been left to cool on the counter for a while. The main issue was that the broth was not hot enough to warm the meatballs or soften the noodles. It was especially upsetting because the meal was only put together after we arrived at the restaurant. There should not have been time for them to cool down this much. The broth was overly salty, and the basil leaves in the pho were wilted. The pho dip sandwich was meager in content, and the broth offered nothing extra (unlike a French dip, which this meal item is modeled after).
SLOW SERVICE. Toast estimated the meal would be ready in 10 minutes. In reality, they had not started to prepare the order until we got to the restaurant. There was hardly anyone else at the restaurant, even though it was dinner time on a weekend evening. The servers did not look like they cared or wanted to be there, and the service was extremely slow.
POOR VALUE. The meal was at a premium since it is located in Garden Oaks. However, understanding that element, the value was still extremely poor since the pho was almost inedible. If I had to microwave my freshly picked-up food from a restaurant that is 10 minutes away, then...

I think it's worth noting that, as of right now, the only 1-star review was from someone who got mad the restaurant was closed the day they visited. Very unfortunate for that reviewer, but that review is really not a fair reflection of the quality of the food and service.
We ordered the supreme pho, Vietnamese dip, and 2 orders of spring rolls to share with my husband, sister and daughter.
The supreme pho, while admittedly pretty pricy for the portion, was BY FAR the best I've ever had, so it was worth it. The spring rolls were also easily the very best I've ever had due to the addition of the fatty brisket.
It was my first time trying a Vietnamese dip, so have no comparison, but it was also delicious.
The entire staff was so friendly and attentive, and it just made for a really nice and welcoming first experience! Finally, there's the atmosphere. This is more so about the Stomping Grounds plaza, that the restaurant itself, but we were absolutely in love with this little gem in Houston. It's a closed off area with plenty of tables seats and lawn chairs, and a large grassy area where the kids can run around and play safely. There was even live music when we went!
The Pho Fix could not be more perfect for families with kids who have a hard time sitting at a restaurant without needing to be entertained by a mobile device. I loved watching my kiddo run around and make friends, so this alone is enough to bring me back. The fact that she also LOVED the food is a major bonus.
Pros: incredible food, service, and fun, family-friendly atmosphere Cons: they have now permanently ruined me for being able to eat pho...
