Wanted margaritas and enchiladas for Labor Day and got a few recos from a FB foodie group. Decided to try La Mex. I have to give the experience a mixed review. Let’s start w the good. Chicken tostados were delicious. Best part of the meal. I had sangria and my Wife had strawberry frozen margarita. Both delicious Son #1 ordered veggie fajitas. He gave them a thumbs up Son #2 ordered beef fajitas quesadillas. Again, thumbs up. Please note…these boys are greedy! Now the not so good. the food came out oddly from a timing standpoint. I would assume most restaurants bring appetizers as ready and then entrees all together. The tostados and chips & queso came out together, but it was odd for me from there. my wife ordered fajita quesadillas and they came first. 10 min later my son’s fajita quesadillas came out, 5 miniutes late other son’s veggie fajitas came out, 10 min after that my beef fajita enchiladas came out over 20 minutes after first entree came to the table. They enchiladas weren’t great and the wait didn’t help. Not the best family dining experience. Overall the food was decent, but not quite what we expected. I wanted to love La Mex, but it was just an ok...

So we went on Tuesday for the first time looking to try the carne asada street tacos for Taco Tuesday but when we got there it turned out they said they didn’t have it because it wasn’t happy hour yet. Was confused since none of the Instagram posts have a specific hour you need to go to get the deal so they gave us the lunch menu to order. The lunch menu is a bit confusing but we ended up ordering the 2 item combo with the 2 mini tostadas chicken and the beef enchilada. Everything was amazing, like made at home by my mom good. We were super full and didnt notice that we only got 1 tostada and we thought maybe we read the menu wrong but we overheard a lady next to us ordering the same plate and she was specifying she wanted one beef and one chicken tostada and the server accepted her order as is. So looks like we didnt get our 2nd tostadas lol that being said, it was plenty of food and still rating a 5 because i really liked the savoriness of the food. Would love to get the carne asada street tacos if they could specify what time to go to...

Only gave 2 stars due to the fact that as for pricing on fajitas they had me for a while.. I came in last night to celebrate my sons birthday and we brought in our own tres leches cake and asked them to keep it cold for us, we’re a pretty large family 6 kids between my husband and I, when it was time to sing happy birthday we go back to grab the cake and they tell us they dropped it. They initially offered to refund us the cake we bought and would give us a few pieces of cheese cake to compensate for our cake. When we went back to have them refund us for our cake in which THEY dropped, they said they would only do one or the other. Mind you we brought in a LARGE tres leches and they provided us with 3 pieces of cheesecake. Total disappointment in their service, very unprofessional the way they handled the situation. Especially when we came to spend our evening celebrating at what we considered a great place. We will not be back. Not to mention the queso was awful and the flour tortillas...

2nd visit on Thursdsy 01/18 @ 7:00pm. We had the place to ourselves. The food and service are still excellent. We had the deluxe chips, beef quesadilla and chorizo con huevo. . 1st time visit on Tuesday 12/19 @ 5:45pm. Modern take on La Mexicana. We had the happy hour top shelf margarita, sangria and mini barbacao tacos. All 3 were amazing. Then we ordered the beef fajitas and deluxe chips service. Our fajitas came out with chicken and our bartender said keep the chicken and he brought out more beef. The fajitas were so so tasty. The deluxe chips are a must try. The service was friendly and attentive. It was clean and well maintained. I would recommend to others and would come back. No cash accepted , but you can pay with your phone or any card.

I recently visited La Mex for the first time, and I was truly impressed by the inviting atmosphere of the restaurant. With a vibrant and cozy ambiance, it’s the perfect place to enjoy a good meal. I wasn't sure what to order, so I decided to go with one of my favorite breakfast options: the barbacoa tacos. They did not disappoint! My wife opted for the Tres Leches French toast, which was a delightful twist on a classic. We also indulged in a delicious coffee latte that complemented our meals perfectly. Overall, everything was incredibly satisfying. I can’t wait to return for dinner and drinks next time. La Mex is definitely a gem worth visiting!

Food is great, good prices and quality service. I've been to this location many times with my wife and daughter. They've never served us a bad item, always had great recommendations and the location is always clean inside and outside patio area. If you are free from 3p to 6p they have a great selection thats expanded now to include both drinks and food for happy hour. If you have little ones, the stomping grounds is a great location to visit. If you do stop by, among all the food available, La Mex is the must visit!
