I love this church. When we moved from Katy to the fifth ward I didn’t want to go to just any church. I wanted something special for my Sunday mass so I shopped around for a church where I could feel a sense of community, passionate priest and iI found it the first time ai stepped in St. Joseph. They had a visiting priest on that day that was going to have a 4 day class on ‘Why be a Catholic’. I have not been a very good practicing Catholic before that time. That first mass gave me such a warm feeling. I looked up and the sun was shining through. I took the 4 day class and something changed in me. St. Joseph is now my parish even though Guadalupe church is just a mile away from me. I am in awe of how people who go to this church seem to really want to be in church.
