-Closes at 10pm, not at 11pm as in Google Maps o we came here last about six years ago, and most everything was the exact same as we remember before, even the exact wording on the train. But the kids did still enjoy themselves. -the exhibits were a little lacking, maybe I was expecting a bit more like from the zoo. We got through the entire inside of the aquarium in about a half hour. -the train attendant seemed like she really disliked her job. I feel like a little bit of animation and excitement from the worker operating the train would help bring it to life for the littles. She looked so mad to be there and just sat up on her car and didnât interact with anyone at all except to scowl at everyone. +They offered to upgrade our city pass for $6.50 additional per person, we went ahead and did that. It felt about worth it for a couple rides on the carousel, the Ferris wheel, the up & down ride, and the train. I donât know the individual cost of each ride, though that wouldâve been good to compare.. -I wish they had a little aquarium-themed roller coasterâthat would be so cool. we didnât use their little splash pad, but if you have littles into that, make sure you bring their swim suits & a towel. -their gift shop was a bit disappointing. A Bluey set, found on Amazon for under $15, was being sold for $25+. Their magnet selection was a major disappointment.. we like to collect magnets and didnât get to buy one because they only had magnets with a bunch of...
Read moreThe aquarium had no line, the second my party walked in we were greeted with dead/dying and unhealthy jelly fish. We tried shaking it off and kept going. The aquarium itself doesn't prioritize their fish and creatures as living organisms but rather attractions. Their enclosures are not appropriate for their needs and are very clearly just decorated to fit a theme rather than a enclosure that these creatures live in.
Their tiger enclosure is partly outside and inside, however I can't help but notice the lack of enrichment both outdoors and indoors and the fact their indoor enclosure is decorated in a city rural like theme rather than what a tiger would thrive in... which... makes no sense. The sting ray exhibit was fun, we fed the little critters and they were very people oriented. However when we fed them no employee was there to watch and/or demonstrate proper technique. They expect you to go off a sign on the wall and no supervision. We attempted to feed the stingrays but we couldn't help but notice how eager they got at the mere sight of food. Groups of them chased and jumped out of the water for food and they behaved as if they were starving. Yes animals get happy for good treats but I've fed stingrays before and they usually aren't that food oriented. If they weren't in charge of the care of animals and living things I'd say it's a nice little attraction to bring your family to. But their clear neglect...
Read moreAquarium is a misleading name for this place, this is an amusement center not an aquarium
While they do have displays of sea life, they are poorly stocked, labeled and cared for
It still deserves 4 stars because it's definitely definitely entertaining and a great place to take kids to kill an hour or too, but, it's definitely not like an aquarium in the sense that you wouldn't want to take your kids here to educate them on Sea life or aquatics, but, it's a fun time waster if you need something to do
Most of the staff was chill. I went to play one of the basketball games in the midway and the person working barked at me that she wasn't set up yet
I asked her if I should come back in like ten and she just told me she wasn't ready and didn't know when she was gonna be, so, I just did something else. It's cool that they weren't set up, but I would've liked to know when I could come back because I really liked that game and I probably would've dropped another $30-$40 trying to win basketball's.
It was also the fact that she made me feel like I was a problem for her. I don't wanna be a problem for anybody. I'm just curious...
