I Just want to tell my story about my experience working at this Ulta… I was A Benefit Brow Expert Here and I felt so unsupported by management… They would have me doing cashier duties as a licensed professional and when I questioned them about it they got upset I just feel like I was Retaliated against by Ketra once I spoke up for myself for things that they never communicated to me clearly about in the beginning… This is for anyone who works for Ulta In the beginning especially if you Are an Arch Expert… Be Prepared for them to come to you every single day about numbers and metrics and pushing sales even in the beginning when you are brand new they don’t give you a chance to authentically build your business… the management is unsupportive and doesn’t know how to talk to/treat people at all… and also they had us cramped up in the back stock room with a dirty little unsanitary table to eat lunch everyday and it would get so hot like extreme temperatures and Ketra would tell us we couldn’t eat out near the skin bar even though we could barely breath in the back… Also the Team Leader Sandra was always extremely rude she wouldn’t speak to team members ever only to Hispanic team members and she would make me uncomfortable speaking in spanish to them the whole time I felt Discriminated against in that aspect because I’m a black woman… it was just a very uncomfortable experience working for this...
Read moreDuring My Visit Today At Ulta, I felt if I was racially profiled . My friend & I went in to look for perfume, during the visit sampling the perfume. An associate came up & greeted also gave perfume recommendations. We thank her for her help. We was the only people in the store besides maybe 2 other customers. It was a total of 5 associates that walked up & asked if we needed help. The store is quiet because hardly any ppl are in there shopping during the time we visited. It was really a bother like we was constantly being watched. All of a sudden security come & stand within distance of where we was. I had a perfume in my hand she informed me that she would have to talk it to the front after the manger had just came & put it in my hand from the back bc none was on the floor.
I don't know if they call racially profiling , stalking a customer & or watching activity great customer service but it's really was a bother. I left the store bc I dare not spend any money in a store that I felt I was being watched like I was stealing bc I was black.
I returned to the store after 3 mins of walking out & asked for the corporate number in which They didn't have and gave me regionals manger number.
Stay away from this store if you don't want your next breath down every 2 mins like clockwork...
