Two RUDE Receptionists at United Club Lounge, Terminal C
I was shocked by the appalling treatment I received at the United Club Lounge in Terminal C on Sunday night, 10-27-24. Instead of a warm welcome and a chance to unwind, I was met with hostility from not one but two shockingly rude receptionists. The first receptionist seemed to go out of her way to make me feel unwelcome, immediately scolding me for "standing in her lane" with a rude, condescending command to "move over"—no polite request, just outright dismissive. Stunned by her attitude, I moved as told, only to watch her turn around and help the next person without a problem. This was far from courteous; it felt like I was being singled out and disrespected for no reason.
When I finally got to the second receptionist to scan my boarding pass, I was once again scolded as if my presence alone was an inconvenience. Her tone and attitude were rude and completely uncalled for, especially for someone who’s just trying to access the lounge I paid for. By then, I had reached my limit with their openly hostile behavior and walked away, deeply disappointed.
After a long day of travel, being treated like a nuisance rather than a valued customer was the last thing I expected from a United Club Lounge. This wasn’t just rude—it was outright unprofessional and hostile. United needs to seriously retrain the staff here. Their customer service is a disgrace to what should be a premium lounge experience. Save your time and skip this lounge if you’re expecting any kind of...
Read moreThe terminal, itself, is quite accommodating, several bar/restaurants, with interesting, diversified food and drink selections. The main gates have, in addition to cellular charging terminals, high shelf tables, with electronic menus, for ordering from the restaurants. And, of course, excellent attention and service from the gate agents. But, of course, the Queen of the terminal is the United Club, itself. This is a particularly comfortable, and accommodating jewel. From the moment you walk in, the check in agents are extremely attentive. Moving in to the next agents, where you can get information and changes in your flights, if necessary, you'll find exceptional attention and service. On the way to the dining and bar area will be quiet rest areas with very comfortable seating and charging terminals. Then, there is the cyber center for use of your laptops. Finally, you arrive at the dining and bar area, with a selection of soup, salad, salami, cheeses, dips , breads, cookies, nuts, and trailmixes. There's also various coffee selections and fresh, fruit enhanced waters, and, of course, THE BAR. All "bar" drinks are gratis, and premiums are available for purchase. Their bloody Mary is fantastic, made with a special recipe, and, again, the service is exceptional. All in all, a terrific place to spend a long...
Read moreI was here 2 weeks ago, at about 7:45 am. I am not an elite member, but I had one-time passes. Why I mention this - when I was leaving an hour later there was a sign at the entrance saying that one time passes were not accepted for entrance at that time. So be aware. And yes, I noticed - the amount of people inside increased somewhat. Still, I do not think this is reasonable - I had my one time pass for a reason. First come first serve would make more sense to me.
The place was clean. I did not expect miracles in terms of food. I was able to get a self made taco (eggs, bacon) - it was pretty good, and a coffee - also good, considering I had to get up early that day. There was something else on the food counter that I don't remember well. Again, nothing too fancy, but looked good enough for me. And you can also get a beer or another basic drink for free. Overall, I would definitely spend time here rather than waiting at the gate if I have a choice. But it probably also depends on how you get your entry pass. If you have to pay cash (45-50 bucks ?) I am not so sure it would be a good deal. You could just as well find a better than average cafe and...
