If I were able to I would rate this "University" 0 stars. Unfortunately, it is not due to the school's curriculum or teachers, it would be due to how former students are treated after they graduate or transfer. I am currently in the process of purchasing a home. After 4 years there, of course I owe the school money. My lender needed information stating that the money owed was to the school and not the Federal government (which it was not). I spoke with Donald Hocks in the Business Department (cashiering) who treated me as if I owed HIM the money. He was rude and stated they do not provide letters (which the Financial Aid department stated they do). He was very condescending in his tone and even had the nerve to give me the wrong number to the head of Student Services. It wasn't until I called Financial Aide back that he even called me to give me the right number. However, Trina and Meghan Lane proved to be very helpful to me. Even though the information provided by Mr. Wicks was still incorrect. Since I have not been to the school in ages, I cannot access student services (he knows this). The blatant rudeness and disrespect has completely turned me off from this school. I can't believe he even works in a department known to have fairly good customer service. It was Financial Aid that surprised me with their desire to find the answer for me. Still... DONALD WICKS, learn how to speak to your fellow human beings with...

As a proud UHD alumnus and now an Admissions Counselor, I’ve experienced this university from both sides, as a student and as a staff member. I chose UHD for its accessibility, diversity, and genuine commitment to student success, and I stayed because of the impact it had on my life.
I came to UHD with big goals and a challenging past. What I found here was a community that believed in me, pushed me, and equipped me to rise above my circumstances. The faculty in my Psychology program were supportive and inspiring, and the university’s dedication to opportunity and equity opened doors I never imagined.
Now, as part of the Admissions team, I have the privilege of helping new students find their place at UHD. Whether it’s through one-on-one outreach, campus events, or community partnerships, we’re constantly striving to make college feel possible and personal for every student who walks through our doors.
UHD isn’t just a place to earn a degree. It’s a place to grow, connect, and transform your future. If you’re looking for a university that truly sees you and supports...
Read moreSomeone needs to talk to the lady in the parking permit office her name is Vanessa (an older lady) my research class and I went over to obtain some passes that we needed in order to get into the research lab (we needed a certain card that only this office has in order to activate it) and she was so absolutely rude from the moment she started talking to us, we contacted our instructor by phone and she (Vanessa) yelled at me and demanded to talk to the professor after I asked her if she wanted to talk to her so she could explain what we needed through the phone and yelled at me saying she didn't want to. Once she started talking to the professor she answered nicely and smiling as if she wasn't just yelling at us seconds earlier, and this is not the first time she has done that, according to my classmates she talks to students very rudely everytime they go there, but acts nicely to the actual staff. Just because we are students doesn't mean we don't deserve the same respect, our tuition is paying...
