one of the most stunning places i've been to not eone of the most stunning places i've been to not even considering the food! it's a labyrinth of architectural magic that is just waiting to be explored, kind of like the food situation downstairs...literally every end of the global spectrum you will find here. wanna eat crispy brains? got that. cotton candy bigger than your head? done. everything sushi? don't make me laugh. pho, pan-african, pan-south american, nordic, pan-asian, southern american, italian, pakistani fusion, texan, latin, thai, french...i'm sure i'm missing someone. it was extremely crowded with long waits at most places, but so worth it, the food was spectacular; i got to try something i've never had before, and then go work it off by climbing seemingly endless flights of surreal looking stairs to a sprawling, inviting rooftop landscape overshadowed by a colossal downtown houston skyline that's right in your face as you enjoy your food, with plenty of outdoor seating in case you can't find a table inside. there are elevators of course too, in case you're wondering how to get all that food up there. and the bathrooms are very modern and glimmering and fun. this place has endless possibilities for expansion. And the parking situation was surprisingly easy, looked like pay to park but in fact it was free, but definitely people waiting for spaces/stalking. but it was crazy busy versus what these pictures have shown looking empty. btw- if you get a fountain drink they have multiple communal 'courts' where you can re-up your coke at, with trash nearby. there were even giant glass enclosed rooms with massive bean bags and screens playing movies. i'm certain we will be back often, especially with the kids who love exploring while we indulge our...
Read moreAlright, Houston foodies, listen up! I just dove headfirst into the glorious chaos that is the POST, and let me tell you, it's a sensory overload in the best possible way. This place is a culinary playground, a veritable smorgasbord of deliciousness. First off, the sheer variety is staggering. You could spend days here and still not try everything. From authentic tacos to ramen that warms the soul, they've got it all. It's like a food truck rally exploded indoors, and I'm here for it. But let's talk about the real star of the show (so far, because I'm definitely going back): the grilled cheese spot. I'm not even exaggerating when I say it was a transcendental experience. Forget your basic cheddar on white. This was artisanal cheese, perfectly toasted bread with that satisfying crunch, and flavor combinations that made my taste buds sing. I’m talking next level melt. It's the kind of grilled cheese that makes you question every other grilled cheese you've ever had. The atmosphere at the POST is electric. It's buzzing with energy, and the open layout means you can see all the action happening. It's a perfect spot for a casual lunch with friends, a solo food adventure, or even a date night where you want to explore different cuisines. Honestly, I'm already planning my next visit. There are so many other vendors calling my name – the pizza, the Asian fusion, the dessert options that are practically begging to be Instagrammed. If you're a Houston foodie, or even just someone who appreciates good food, the POST is a must-try. Just be prepared to be overwhelmed (in a good way) by the sheer abundance of deliciousness. And seriously, don't skip the grilled cheese. You'll thank me later. And just to put the cherry on...
Read more(Oct 2023) the food hall was lively Friday evening that I came. A concert was happening next door so there was a line wrapped around the building outside by the food hall but it didn’t affect inside the food hall or the parking lot. So many great options, it was honestly hard to choose. The cheesy fries at the Johnny good burger place were really, really good. My friend said the burger was great too. Enjoyed chop n blok again- such great flavors. Tried a sample of pasta from ciccio’s which was tasty. Bulgogi fries from one spot were great. Andes cafe was fantastic - really delicious Peruvian ceviche and the steak and fries was good too; The arepitas were ok. Good wine options at Andes cafe. Flower and cream ice cream, always good - the Oreo flavor is my favorite but they have some fun flavors (tried banana bread and guava cheesecake and raspberry tres leches)
(Nov 2022) Such a cool spot! Love the style and vibe / design they chose inside. Each stall makes it their own but there’s a common decor throughout. And so many choices! Had to get Roberta’s pizza as soon as I saw it, loved going there in Brooklyn and this outpost was just as good as the original in NYC. Flowers and cream ice cream was excellent, you can sample whatever you want to decide. And chop n blok was giving out samples (and the girl working was so nice and so excited about what she was offering, was a breath of fresh air!) and that sample of the curry was so good I couldn’t get it out of my mind…had to go back the next day just for that dish. The rooftop garden walk with views of the downtown skyline is also really cool, really well done. Lots of great...
