If only the walled-off floor space about renewables had half the attention paid to it as the rest of the exhibits on this floor. While there are some very engaging exhibits and demonstrations on the oil and gas industry, the renewables nook only has five poorly-working video screens which play a couple videos and host huge walls of text. It's honestly not too surprising, and I don't know why I was hoping for something a bit more balanced than an exhibit sponsored (surprisingly unabashedly) by oil companies.

This results in an amazing presentation of the technology used to obtain the energy we need. I have seen reviews criticizing the lack of information about renewable resources, and although I see their point, I don't believe the focus of the exhibit was ever mainly the energy. This hall consists of energetics, petroleum geology, and oil exploration themed displays. The most interesting show is the display of Houston city's entire energy value chain with a city model and laser projectors. There is a big sitting arrangements in front of the model to enjoy the periodical laser projections.
