Jensen Jewelers — Attraction in Hudsonville

This will be a bit long, so bear with me lol My ring was not originally purchased at Jensen. It was bought at one jewelry store and had a custom band put on by another. I needed my ring to be resized,

I took my ring back to Jared's, where I had horrible customer service. Their rude and uppity employee helped me to make the decision to go elsewhere to resize my ring. I went to 2 other jewelry stores to get quotes on an appraisal and the resizing.

The first store said it would take 4 weeks for the resizing (it would be sent out) and an additional week for the appraisal. Jensen however, gave me a timeline of ONE week for everything to be done.

Jensen was $15 more in cost, but I felt so much better knowing that my ring was not being shipped off someplace else and the appraisal actually cost less than the other store! More importantly, I went into Jensen on a very busy day and was still greeted and helped straight away.

I spoke to two female employees who were so nice and welcoming. One of them was Grace, I unfortunately did not get the other employees name. Grace made sure that they could resize my ring and gave me the quote.

I came back a few days later and spoke to another female employee. She was extremely nice and helpful. I asked her about wedding bands and explained my rings unique history and I don't know how she did it, but she was able to find me a band almost immediately that looked like it was made for my ring!!!

I will be going back to get the pricing info for that band, when I pick up my ring this week. It was a total of maybe 4 business days and I received a text today that my ring is ready!

Pretty disappointed with the engagement ring that I have from Jensens. Purchased by my husband in 2019. I had multiple diamonds on the band falling out so ended up having to exchange for a different band after the first year. Staff was great about the exchange so no issues there. But it’s been about 4 years since I exchanged for the new band and have since had multiple side diamonds fall out each year. Jensen is always good about replacing them but this last time the staff member instructed me that I would need 14 prongs worked on and it would cost 50$ per prong. He stated that the diamonds would continue to fall out if not fixed. I asked what would cause this. And he said it can be caused by soap, lotion, or rubbing against the very dainty wedding band that I have. My husband and I were never told that this band was going to have so many issues and require $700 worth of maintenance care every 4-5 years. Would have never purchased that had that been the case. Would have been nice to have some transparency from Jensen about the poor quality of this product in terms of how it holds up over time.
