While I had high hopes in Methodist in general, receiving images here was the most painful process I've ever experienced between the imaging center, Methodist home office/billing. I was charged the wrong amount for the wrong procedure, which I knew was going to lead to a disaster. To many details to explain why I wouldn't go here again. Proceed with caution as this facility doesn't connect with Methodist overall billing, even when they are the ones that incorrectly submitted the wrong information. Complete disaster.
**Updated end 2024 - Still the absolute worst. I would avoid this location at all cost. Billing is a disaster. There want to help post imaging is a zero. They will tell you everything is accessible through my chart, but only if you are visiting with a physician within the "Methodist System". Complete racket. Had many discussions with management to have them discuss billing issues with Methodist Billing as a whole. Read moreMade an appointment for a basic xray through Methodist Mychart for 1015. I checked in around 955am. It has taken more than 40 mins to get called back. I understand some of these technologist are hired as a multi-modalities, but a basic chest xray doesn’t take more than 5 mins. The exam itself could be squeezed in between one of the lengthier exams whether it be a CT, MRI, etc. Granted, MRI and CT is where the real money maker is at. I’ve had CT’s and MRI’s here previously and never did I wait so long for those exams. This just proves my point. So, I can see why a regular diagnostic xray is not as much of a priority as one of those other exams. Nevertheless, Management should have a better grip on this. Given that appointment time has surpassed more than 15 mins there should have been someone at the very least addressing why a patients appointment time has elapsed. This did not happened and is unacceptable to have anybody wait this long for a simple exam. Read moreI had an MRI a few weeks ago. I have an implanted loop recorder subcutaneously planted in my chest to monitor my heart because I have A-Fib. Imaging was well aware of this having had to get the MRI cleared before they would even schedule it and again the day of the MRI. Halfway through, the radiologist stormed in, pulled me out, ripped off my headphones, shouting and demanding where was I hiding a piece of metal? He pulled my gown off and started grabbing and squeezing my breasts! Finally he grabbed where the loop recorder was and yelled, “What is this?” I said the loop recorder. He huffed and put me back into the machine, without the headphones and without the call button in case of an emergency.
