Umiya Sushi – All You Can Eat = All You Can Love 💕🍣 We came. We saw. We ate half the menu. No exaggeration — we rolled out of Umiya Sushi in a full-blown happy food coma and zero regrets. 😵‍💫✨

The vibe? Springtime-in-Japan cherry blossom fantasy 🌸 — comfy booths, warm lighting, and a clean, modern setup that makes you feel like you’re in for something special. And oh, we were.

Let’s start with the must-orders: 💥 Fried Oyster – Golden, crispy, juicy. I could eat this all day. 🥭 Mango Salmon – This one? A flavor bomb. Creamy, cheesy, bright with mango, and fresh AF. I devoured THREE plates. That’s 6 pieces. No shame. 🐟 Tuna Tower (aka Salmon Lover) – Layered with snow crab, tuna, and paired with crunchy wonton chips — it’s like a seafood sundae, and we were all in. 🔥 Seafood Soup – Unlike other places that serve “flavored hot water,” this one had REAL seafood essence. Stewed long, hearty, full of treasures from the sea.

We needed a break from sashimi, so we hit up the hibachi veggie platter — grilled to perfection, that smoky hibachi essence made the vegetables a whole moment. 🌽🥦

And the sashimi? 💫 Surf Clam – Fresh, chewy, clean. 💫 Seared Scallop – Rich and buttery. 💫 Tamago – Sweet, custardy, melt-in-your-mouth goodness. 💫 Taco Salad – Crunchy, bold, totally addictive. Ordered two for myself. Zero regrets.

Even after all that… dessert happened. Because duh. 🍌 Banana Tempura with Red Bean Ice Cream – Hot + cold, crispy + smooth, perfection. 🍰 Tempura Cheesecake with Chocolate Drizzle – So fluffy, so creamy, so GOOD that even my “I’m full” friend stole bites off my plate. That says everything.

💬 Final verdict: Is this the most elite sushi spot in the city? Not yet — but it’s off to a very promising start. They’re still new, still expanding, and we’re excited to come back and eat through the other half of...

So a friend of mine calls me and asked me if I want to go to an all you can eat sushi restaurant and as I always do, I cringed, but he said they were in their soft opening, and that the quality was supposed to be very good so reluctantly, I joined him And all I can say is wow! From the moment we walked in the staff was happy and helpful. The ambience was vibrant, and each room had its own feel. Once we were seated our waiter Mardi brought us our drinks and started explaining the menu to us and once ordered within minutes, we started receiving parts of our order and first and foremost everything was fresh. The rice was well seasoned, and every employee that we interacted with was friendly and helpful and for the first time that I've seen on and all you can eat menu they even had things like rainbow roll and spider roll and during the evening and on weekends, they serve both sushi and sashimi, which is a plus for me. I have been to many sushi restaurants that could not keep up with the quality at three times the price then this is definitely a restaurant that if you'd like sushi, you will want to try at least once. We have been back a few times and Marty was such an amazing waiter that we have continued to ask for him every time, and each time we have walked in he has remembered our names and greeted us using them, he is one of the best waiters I've ever had and I hope that he will stay for a long time. The best part about my experience was, I couldn't find anything to argue about or to complain about which definitely surprised me so I hope you take the opportunity to visit and I hope your experience is as amazing...

If you’re anywhere near Katy and not hitting up Umiya Sushi, you’re seriously missing out. I rolled in for the all-you-can-eat lunch buffet - only $20.95 until 3:30 PM - and left absolutely wrecked in the best way possible. This place isn’t your typical buffet joint - it’s top-tier sushi, made fresh to order, and worth every penny.

Shoutout to my server Vuong, who crushed it with fast service, great recommendations, and a killer attitude. Dude made the whole experience even better - friendly, attentive, and on point.

Now let’s talk food. The Hot Mama Roll (with Hot Cheetos on top) was straight fire - spicy, crunchy, and totally addictive. I could’ve eaten five more. The Gyoza? Crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside - absolute perfection.

The menu is loaded with options, everything made fresh and plated like they’re trying to win an award. And trust me, they deserve one. Whether you’re a sushi purist or just here to try something wild, Umiya delivers.

Final verdict: 🔥 Killer value 🔥 Incredible service 🔥 Insanely good food

Get there before 3:30 and bring your appetite. You’ll...

As a long-time regular at Umiya Corpus Christi and an AYCE sushi enthusiast, I can confidently say the new Umiya Katy location lives up to the brand’s outstanding reputation. The sashimi is incredibly fresh and of exceptional quality, while the kitchen dishes are all cooked to perfection. I especially recommend the hibachi steak, tender and full of flavor, and the yellowtail on fire, which is both beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. Our server, Kyla, was attentive, warm, and ensured everything we needed was taken care of. When a small concern arose, manager Jane handled it with professionalism and courtesy—something that truly reflects Umiya’s commitment to customer service. All in all, Umiya Katy delivers the same unbeatable combination of quality, value, and variety that has made Umiya my go-to spot for years. The accessible price point and consistent excellence make it an easy 5-star choice for sushi lovers.
