I’ve been a loyal customer of Lux Queens Nail Spa in Huntersville, but after today’s experience, I will NEVER return — and I will make sure no one I know ever goes here either.
I received a pedicure service that I paid $75 for, only to be serviced by a lazy technician who rushed through the process and completely skipped the callus remover. When I called the salon to bring up this disservice, I was told that every pedicure includes a callus treatment no matter which one you choose. So clearly, my service was incomplete — and I was charged full price for it.
They told me to come back in, but I explained that I had prior commitments and wouldn’t be able to return until the next morning. Then suddenly, they were “fully booked” and told me the only time available was late afternoon on a Saturday — a huge inconvenience.
After adjusting the remainder of day around their mistake, I called back and told them I’d be there by 4:20 PM. I arrived exactly on time. Multiple people came in after me and were serviced before me, while I sat there for nearly an hour with , zero updates, and absolutely no service.
When I finally got up to leave, there was no apology, no compensation, no offer to come back another time. Just silence and dismissal.
I’ve been a repeat customer here, but after today’s piss poor customer...
Read moreThis was my first time to this salon. I moved here recently and was trying to find a salon I could regularly receive services. I got my nails done prior to my honeymoon cruise the next day. As I was checked out, the gentleman stated I had 7 days to come back for repairs if I needed them. I knew I wouldn't be around on day 7 but didn't think anything of needing that buffer. I never needed that in the past...
I left the next day for my honeymoon out of the country. On the 4th day, the gel polish on one of my fingers completely peeled off. The polished chipped pretty bad on the others. I would understand if I was being hard on my hand but I was sitting by a pool reading......I didn't come back to the country until day 9 after my services. I asked if I could get the issues fixed. The gentleman looked at my nails and said no because I was beyond the 7 days. I explained I was out of the country and there was no way for me to get there any earlier. I would understand if they peeled or chipped on or after day 7, but to completely come off on a finger on day 4 is completely unacceptable. He still refused to fix their terrible job.
I will not be coming back to this salon and very disappointed in the level of service received. The only plus was the glass of wine...
Read moreI’ve been getting my nails done regularly in the Lake Norman area for 6 years now and have tried multiple different salons and this is a clear winner. I get SNS and have for the last 3 years, and this is the only place where the SNS process is done correctly and my nails end up stronger and healthier. I typically go to Scott, but when he isn’t available, I trust all of the technicians here and always love my result. They have a huge color selection and consistently bring in new seasonal options. There is also complimentary beer, wine, soft drinks, or water. For the reviews asking about pricing- Queen’s has comparable pricing for my SNS nails as all the other local salons, and there is a menu of prices and services available to view, including add-ons for different treatments. It does stay busy here and they don’t overbook technicians as that can result in a rushed job, so sometimes walk-ins do have a bit of a wait. I try to make appointments in advance, but typically just a quick call-ahead will get my name on the list for an appointment and I am usually able to be seen...
