I've been going to this location for years and it has been kind of on again/off again in terms of cleanliness and quality (things like food that they re-sell long after the expiration date/moldy bagels and such as always been an issue here - so I never order food here any longer). But today I went in to order a DRINK and asked for honey to be added (since they don't appear to have honey on the counter any longer) and the charge was 75 cents for HONEY. the NAME of the place is Milk and HONEY and they want 75 cents for HONEY? How is that even possible? Honey is no different than any other sweetener- are they charging for sugar as well? are we now adding charges for water in a drink perhaps? I have never, ever encountered a charge for HONEY at a coffee/tea shop either in the US OR anywhere in Europe and can't even begin to image the reasoning for such a charge. Guess it's time to find a new place - there's a ton of them within walking distance of this one, so it shouldn't be difficult to find a place that believes that adding sweetener to a tea drink is a normal (and free)...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWhat a cute atmosphere! I've been studying here for a few hours now and was able to get so much done. Their internet is pretty fast too and it doesn't run out after a certain time. I love working with natural light so first I sat outside on the patio and loved the light and breeze but then it got too bright so I moved in and cozied up on the couch.
While here I tried the Spanish Iced Latte, the Acai bowl, and the Watermelon lemonade. All of them were good!
I like sweeter coffee normally and I wish I asked her to make it a bit sweeter but the Spanish latte was still really good.
Believe it or not it was my first time having an acai bowl but it was delicious and really filled me up. I skipped breakfast today so this totally hit the spot.
After a few hours I needed something refreshing and she recommended the Watermelon Lemonade. It was a strange idea but thought I might as well try it and was happy I...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI saw the reviews and thought it'd be a good idea...regretted big time. Only 2 people working in the morning, so long wait - 1 person only at the counter and making coffees, while the 2nd one was in the kitchen. Menu or board have NO prices - extremely inconvenient. We ordered 2 avo toasts which should have boiled eggs with them. After a long wait, they arrived (take away containers only) with no eggs. When asked about the eggs, I was simply told they were out. Poor customer service, no apologies or at least an explanation when the food was ready. I realised after that some other menu items had egg white - no offering either for a swap (and I did not ask as the customer service had already proven insatisfactory and I didn't want to ask again the rude kitchen/food lady).
Not coming back and not recomming this place. There are other places in the surroundings that are worth your while...
