Next we went to a place called ZeroZero. We went in, looked at the bland pepperoni and margherita pizzas that were already cooked and cold through the glass and decided to pass. Plus they wouldn't let us use a bathroom and there was no place to sit. Having been to Sugo, also with no seating, we were having some PTSD. So we googled pizza places in the area and found a place called The Ria .1 miles away rated 4.9 with 213 reviews. Good idea we thought. We were so right. Detroit style pizzas with wild and crazy flavors. Very exciting stuff. We got the sampler which includes 4 personal size pizzas and very reasonably priced. The dough is sourdough based with a starter that has been in this guy's family for years and years. We ordered, Bacon is My Jam, with Basil habanero Bacon jam, pepperoni, ricotta, the Motherclucker, with Chicken, bacon, shaved Parmesan, ranch, the Carolina Kickin Chicken, Chicken pickles red onions, Carolina Gold BBQ sauce, and the Eat Your D#*$ Veggies which we added meatballs to but also, Mushrooms, olives, onions, red bell peppers. Every one of these pizzas was amazing. Particularly good were the Carolina Kickin Chicken and the Bacon Is My Jam. The chicken had pickles and pickled red onions and a sweet and somewhat spicy mustard based BBQ sauce and really packed a flavor punch like you've never had. The Bacon Is My Jam is the chef's favorite and mine as well. So much so, I was looking at the leftovers and thought, I need more of that so I ordered another personal size to take home for like $12....

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
If you're craving an authentic Chicago deep-dish pizza experience, look no further than Ria! I recently had the pleasure of getting pizza from there, and I can confidently say it's one of the best places to indulge in this iconic dish.
First and foremost, the pizza itself was absolutely delicious. The crust was perfectly baked—crispy on the outside yet soft and buttery on the inside. The generous layers of cheese melted beautifully, and the rich, flavorful sauce was a delightful finishing touch. Every bite was a taste of pizza heaven!
But what truly set Ria apart was the friendly service. The staff greeted us with warm smiles. They made us feel right at home, and their enthusiasm for the food was contagious.
Additionally, our order was served up surprisingly fast, especially considering how deep-dish pizzas typically take longer to prepare. We barely had to wait before we were digging into our piping hot, cheesy masterpiece.
Overall, Ria Chicago Deep Dish Pizza is a must-visit for anyone looking to enjoy a slice of Chicago's finest. Great food, friendly service, and quick turnaround—what more could you ask for? I can't wait to return for...
Read moreI ordered a flight of pizzas for delivery, so can't rate on service or atmosphere, but the food was great. I'd put the 4 pizzas in my flight collectively around a 4.5. Very good, but with a few nits to pick:
The Queen Bee: Very good, but the goat cheese flavor is very pronounced, so take that as you will. 5/5
The Big Dill: Also delicious, but the nit to pick is that the crispy cheese on the edges was very rough and sharp. This was consistent across the other pizzas, so it may have just been due to the small size, but it was the most angry about being eaten on this one. 4.8/5
The Elliot: Pretty straightforward tasty pepperoni pizza with sauce on top. However, the top most pepperoni layer was quite burnt while the bottom layer seemed like it hadn't been in the oven. 4.2/5
The Dazed and Confused: The ranch was really the flavor of this pizza. The chicken was there, but the potato chips were completely unnoticeable. Still, I can't say anything about it tasted bad. 4/5
I'll definitely be getting more pizza from The Ria and I'll try to update my ratings as I make my way...
