I was married here on 07/11/2021 and have to say my wedding was absolutely magical. The staff are amazing and help you every step of the way. Even when I was indecisive about adding things such as an arch, or table clothes. They walked me through each step. They helped me design the perfect floor plan lay out. Everything was better then I could have imagined. Not to mention I was planning a wedding during the Covid lock down! Cathy and Charolette made sure to keep me informed weekly of how the lock down looked and if the restrictions were still in place or being lifted. They were very transparent with me. My wedding timing worked out perfectly but them keeping me in the loop really eased my mind.
The location is beautiful! You will be right on the lake. You literally cannot find another location like this for the price. You do have to share the beach front with others as it is not a private beach. But I enjoyed all the well wishes from passerby's. The Event Center has an outdoor patio that's big enough to get married on. Once we were done we had a bar set up out there and some standing tables. All my guest loved the environment and being able to go outside and admire the lake if they wanted to. Or sit inside and have a little more privacy as well. I do have to admit the parking is terrible, especially on a busy day. Tell your guest to arrive at least 30 minutes to an hour early to find parking and get there on time. We had to delay my wedding by 20 minutes while my guest searched for a parking spot. You do get a list of recommended parking from the Event Center, but all spots will be filled if you are doing an evening wedding like myself. That is my only complaint about the location as the event center does not have their own private parking. But it's a small complaint for what you get.
The actual event center itself was remodeled and looks amazing. They give you plenty of room. We had enough room for all the tables, the dj, and a photo booth. The bride dressing room is a little cramped and was hot. But we made it work. I suggest bringing a small fan in there with you or getting the bigger one. It might be worth the extra money. The windows in the room we were in look out to the lake and creates a majestic back drop behind the bride and groom table. There are lights already set up and a great dance floor!
The price is very reasonable for what you get. They will work with you on a payment plan. Really I have always dreamed about having a Tahoe wedding. When I started looking around I didn't think it would be feasible. Thanks to the event center my dream became a reality. If you are debating about where to go I highly recommend the Tahoe...
Read moreThe one star is for the location of the venue. Otherwise, horrible. I traveled from Ohio to have my wedding here and was treated awful by the only staff there, Julie. Upon entering the venue, I asked where the bridal suite was and she rudely told me that the bride getting married the next day had her stuff in there and I’m not allowed to use the room. Even though I had spoke several times with Cathy, who runs the venue, about using the bridal suite that day I still wasn’t able to use it (I didn’t pay for a room less..).
As if not having your own room to hide away and be blocked from everyone’s view, wasn’t bad enough.. it gets worse. The morning of, Cathy had us pay $150 for the speaker & mic we were going to use. As I’m ready to walk down the aisle, we realize there’s no speaker to play the music and no mic for us. I politely asked Julie where it was and she stated we didn’t pay for that and the guy that sets it up isn’t here anyways and it was in pieces. After 10 minutes of arguing with her and pleading for her to get it, we finally were able to get it in pieces. Which then took another 5 to 10 minutes to build, because none of us knew anything about professional speakers.
Finally, at our cocktail reception when we were taking pictures with the few guests, we looked over to see Julie packing away tables and chairs more than an hour before we were to leave. I was so embarrassed and then had to convince her that we paid until 9 PM. Which her reply was, “well what do you want me to do then? Put it back up?”. I told her to just leave everything as it is and to call Cathy. When I talked to Cathy the next day, she even remarked about Julie’s bad attitude that night when she had spoke to her after our event and Cathy said we were supposed to have everything Julie questioned us about. We got compensated $150 for the speaker and mic, but to me that’s a slap in the face since we were made to feel unwelcome the entire time by the only staff there and had it tore down an hour early!
Instantly when I walked through the venue doors, I was made to feel like the biggest inconvenience on my wedding day. (And that was for asking for things I paid thousands for!) I would never recommend this place to anyone. It’s a waste of a TON of money to be treated like trash on what’s supposed to be the best day of your life. Now all the memories I have of our wedding is how much money we spent for our wedding to be torn down early & for everyone to feel awkward at an event because of one worker. Do NOT host...
Read moreWe Had our wedding there in May, the venue was awesome well set up staff was friendly and accommodating for the most part. The views and setup were perfect and gorgeously done. A few things I would watch out for if you do have your event here. Day of coordinator is there for the event center as a babysitter not to help with your actual event and is rotated half way through the event. She addressed me, my bride and wedding party about several unnecessary issues interrupting our celebration with things like wanting us to clear the mens so she could go check it's condition. We used there in house caterers roundabout who at cocktail hour told the Grooms men there was no more alcohol and sending them to go get more delaying the event when the alcohol was in the kitchen where event staff told us to put it. By then the guest had started opening the center peace bottles witch where then Confiscated by the day of coordinator and distributed to the first 30 people to leave who included mostly wait staff. We rented the whole venue the large conference room we were going to use for the brides maids and to set up a ball pit for the kids which I had approved with the venue prior. This room was locked, leaving the 10 brides maids and my bride cramped in a small dressing room and nowhere...
