I highly recommend especially if you have a dog. With this said, I travel for work frequently and vacation wise (international and domestic travel). I can quite picky on places I stay since it can be frequent. Typically, I stay in large hotel chains like Marriott or Hilton brands. Not common, I stay at locally owned or boutique places. I am so glad, I chose to stay at Crown Motel.

I had a lakefront view room, and there are multiple buildings. Unsure how others are, but mine was incredibly clean. Updated with nice floors, bathroom items, and mini fridge is awesome.

I loved the view. Hot water was amazing. Heat as needed worked. last night, for whatever reason, didn't come on. Unsure why, but was my last night, so no big deal. First night, amazing heat to keep me nice and warm.

Beds comfy, nice USB wall outlets and plentiful wall outlets. Nice breakfast table by window and sitting charis. Amenities are hands down - very nice. Hottub experience was just beautiful. Right on beach / lake with an insanely beautiful mountain, lake view from hottub.

They have BBQs, nice entertainment area with cornhole and ping pong table. Multiple tables and decks. Beach area has nice loungers on beach.

only item I can say is that if it is busy, unsure how the sound / noise may be. I think you will be able to hear quite a bit of noise but noticed they do have a curfew for amenities.

Check-in and check-out was super easy and efficient. I thought the staff at the front desk was helpful. Yes, I was the one that couldn't figure out the gate code/gate for pool area, and the front desk person helped me by coming out. found my entire experience - surprisingly wonderful. I didn't expect much; and it exceeded my expectations ten fold ! Thank you for nice couple days...

Delighted with a wonderful room featuring a water view, we had a pleasant check-in experience with a helpful individual who attended to our needs throughout the week. Stayed in room 515 where the bedroom heater was non-functional, relying solely on the fireplace for warmth. The front door had air leaks, providing a cool breeze at night, but be wary if it rains as it leads to unexpected leaks. Thin walls necessitate earplugs, especially during intense moments like a loud argument nearby. Despite these challenges, the stunning view compensates for any inconveniences in the end.

According to the information provided by the office, none of these rooms are equipped with kitchens, despite some photos suggesting otherwise. In reality, the rooms feature a mini-fridge, (supposedly) mini-dish soap + sponge (provided mid-week), four mugs, two forks, and an outdoor grill. The bathroom sink serves as the designated sink for use of washing dishes. If needed, the office might have random kitchenware available upon request.

Housekeeping was quite minimalistic, with a request not to leave items on counters for cleaning. Despite preparing in advance, our room wasn't properly serviced during the week, lacking cleaning supplies for basic hygiene. Mid-week, when we requested service, only beds were made, and essentials like bathroom and dishes were neglected. Without proper soap and sponge, cleaning became challenging, leading us to use makeshift methods. Despite our willingness to clean if provided supplies, we were left with an unsatisfactory experience, prompting us to skip tipping due to the lack of service and preparation...

To start, will I come back to the Crown and recommend it to family? Absolutely yes. Are there some things they can work on? Also yes. First, the we had was great. VERY clean, had almost everything we needed in the little kitchenette and a beautiful balcony overlooking the lake. The one downside was there was no coffee maker or coffee available. In peak season they offer coffee in the rec area but on our trip there was none available and none in the room. There was tea available and a hot water maker. They could easily provide instant coffee in the room if they aren’t going to offer it in the rec area. Luckily there is coffee places next door to purchase coffee. Outside of the room, the facility has a lot of amenities such as outdoor fireplaces, a pool, spa, bbqs, and lawn games. Overall very well equipped. There were 2 disappointing things we noticed however that can be easily fixed. It seems that although there are groundskeepers/staff around they don’t thouroughly check the common areas regularly. On our second night there was apparently some incident near the lawn area where someone threw up and spilled a drink. There was also some trash left. None of this was cleaned up that day or the next 2 days. It could have been easily hosed down, but instead was left there. The second thing was that the outdoor fireplaces ran out of propane leaving only one usable. Again, both of these can be easily fixed with a little attention paid and I hope this feedback is taken seriously by management because this hotel is great and we did enjoy our...

Rude liars and thiefs. When I arrived joyfully at this motel there were 3 ladies ahead of me in the check in line. The first lady in line was mad about not having ac, and the man checking her in kept yelling someone is installing it now. I ignored their drama and quietly started chatting to the lady ahead of me. Shortly after the bearded man yelled at everyone in the office to shut up. Taking his frustrations out on the guests. When it was my turn I showed the new guy my dogs service certification and he still charged me the extra fee for a non working dog. When I got to my room (411) I knew they pulled the old bait and switch on me. The room looked nothing like the website photos. It looked like a cheap roadside motel from the 70s. The Wood paneling was peeling off the walls. Half the lights didn't work. The curtains didn't even cover the entire window. And the bathroom was so small you could barely even wipe your behind without smashing your face into the wall. Also, when we needed towels and toilet paper they said they needed a 24 hour notice. They also have exposed wires taped off in the hallway. Dangerous. And one of the workers threw away our bucket of crawfish and took the fishing trap until my husband confronted him. These are not good people, stay far away from this place. They got me don't let them get you too. 4 nights $1300.00

We had an amazing bachelorette weekend at this cute little motel. We stayed in a two bed lake front room on the 3d floor. The room was clean, beds were okay(could be softer) and most importantly we had a great view. The water was perfect and we were excited to snorkel in the crystal clear Tahoe water(underwater video attached), surprisingly it’s pretty shallow for a few hundred feet straight out. We definitely enjoyed our time in the water; swimming, snorkeling, paddle boarding, and even took out jet skis for an hour. Jet skiing in tahoe is always amazing but the north shore has much clearer water, I highly recommend. Only issue we had while at the hotel was mostly the guests in the room a few doors down. Yes, we were there to celebrate, however we are respectful and quiet. We smoke(legally), and did so on our balcony, like we saw plenty of other guests doing. But the older couple staying doors down from us complained to staff whom asked us to smoke on the beach only. We obliged. However felt extremely uncomfortable as the older couple kept talking negatively about us to his group. We ended up spending no time on the private deck due to the discomfort. Regardless of this incident we had a wonderful time and would stay here again just for the views.
