HORRIBLE! HORRIBLE!! HORIBBLE!!! first off I live out of state. I came here around 630pm on Easter Sunday. I was in Tahoe visting 4 family households that live in the Tahoe area, on the way out of tahoe me and my bf decided to try this pub based off of the local reviews here, and what my family has said about this place. Let me tell you after my speaker phone conversation with them and my experience here they won't be seeing any of those 12 family members EVER again!! You lost some service! And just so you know Tahoe has plenty more bars/wfood around you, your shop isn't a gem in the rough. You better get better workers or customer service started on... my only complaint is your tall lanky white guy that was working that shift. We came It took 10 mins to get a menu, mind you it was moderately busy. However I own a restaurant and have served and managed many years before and it was in no means swamped or crazy busy. But oh well we can chill, and order we thought (We had some time but where on a time schedule for a flight). We both decided on the same meal. About 25mins later the food comes out. The menu did not state an ingredient that I'm allergic to in the meal. So as kindly as I could (I absolutely hate returning and wasting food!) I took it to the bar to him and explained I couldn't eat it. With great attitude he said he'd switch it. Didn't ask if I'd like something else, didn't ask if I wanted to nix the order, just got frustrated said his piece then walked away like I was a bug irritating him! And to go more on his service he just dropped off our food And left. We both wanted ranch in the side. he never once asked if we needed anything else, or a refill for the beer that was below half at this point. He obviously had better people to attend then this "stupid eating pit stop". Once I sit back down I see my bf has scarfed his meal down, great job I bet the food is great! The fries were good that I tried before I returned the meal. Looking at my phone (seriously) 3mins had last and my bf was let's just say done by now, I figured what's the point it'll take 22 more mins, and we have to get back on the road to sac to get to the airport. I need to cancel this as much as I hate. Tail between legs feeling horrible I tried my best to explain this to the stick up butt bartender. He wouldn't even listen past I need to cancel! No matter could be important enough, obviously you didn't care about your table enough to check up on or even ask if I wanted the meal again to begin with when returned. Serving 101, start some training. It was all about him! And his inconvenience. So since I was talking to a wall I went back to the table frustrated. He brought the bill very promptly after that....
Read moreEver go to a place, order food, wait 40 mins, and have people who came after you get their food and pay for it before you got yours? Up to this point, we were only given water. No waiter or employee has said anything to us after ordering. Keep in mind, we’re the only asian family there, we only ordered 4 burgers and 2 sides of fries, and it was not even busy there. Our fries didn’t even come out before our burgers too. We went inside the restaurant and told an employee that if the order wasn’t ready yet, we will be leaving since it’s been 40 mins. All she said was alright and that she will tell the kitchen. As we get up and leave, a waiter comes out. Instead of apologizing, she FINALLY comes out chasing after us when we were off the property already with the two fries we ordered. She began yelling at us and threatening to call the police. She accused us of running away and not paying for our food when nothing has been serviced to us up to the point where we had already left. She made sure that everyone would watch as she raised her voice at us when it wasn’t necessary. She began making a big scene out of it when my sister-in-law tried to calm her down so that we can discuss the situation in a proper manner. She said, “It’s ONLY been 40+ mins,” trying to make us look bad and justify calling the police instead of providing at least some proper form of customer service. Shouldn’t it be her trying to calm us down and not the other away around for having us wait 40+ mins while people who came before us eat and pay for their food already?? We did not say anything that would have lead her to act in this way, yet she comes out and starts wildly lashing out at us. It sad to say that maybe they are more worried about losing money than providing us with great customer service like any other family. Of course after being threaten to have the police called on us and being humiliated in front of many other families, we ended up paying so she would stop ranting at us after we had already gotten the okay to leave from another employee. With no service provided and no apology, we paid for our food and left. We were even charged the gratuity on our bill even though they packed all our food to-go. And when we ate our food, all the food was cold as if it has been sitting there...
Read moreThis is without a doubt, the worst service I have ever experienced. First off, when we arrived we were shown a table and it took our unnattentive server a solid 20 minutes just to get us a round of drinks. Our waiter took another good 10 to 15 minutes to get our order, and when he had our food written down he got up and engaged in conversation with a couple across from us taking even more time to get out food order in. The food took way too long to come out and they brought it out in parts, but it gets worse. My friend literally found a FEATHER in his chili cheese fries. We let it slide and just asked them to remake it but by the time it got back everyone else was done with their food. Might I add that they never refilled my drink once? The waiter even WATERED A PLANT in front of me but didn't bother to ask if I want a refill. With all this in mind we ate our subpar food and had to wait even longer for our check. When our checks got to the table we tried to scribble in our zero dollar tip but the pen exploded and I got ink all over my hands and credit card. Frustrated to no end I got up and asked for another pen, signed the check, then went back inside to wash my hands off. This is where it gets crazy. I walked back out to the porch area and our waiter walked over to me and said "hey, I just wanna say, "f* you". I said "whatever" and walked outside where a lady was waiting in line to which I recommended choosing a different spot to eat. The waiter came out and interrupted me and cussed me out causing a major scene in front of everyone. I hope this man gets fired and I'm going to make a call to the Department of Health in hopes that they can shut down this horrible restaurant. If you are in the area, please spare yourself and eat...
