The sand is full of sticks, rocks, and other types of things, it hurts to walk bare foot, and the sand is piping hot. The water is still beautiful but there are other beaches a couple miles north that are alot better. This one is also very crowded and not much sand space for that crowd, but this is because this beach offers kayaking, paddle boarding, biking, jet skiing etc..... I'd still come back, the experience is not bad, there's just better beaches than this one. We were here for the 4th of July 2019 and the fireworks show was amazing. Beautiful fireworks and a decent length show. For those who know nothing or little about Tahoe, be very prepared for freezing cold lake water!!! And dress for weather temperatures between 40-75 degrees F. It's cool/cold at night and in the early morning and rises to about 70 to 75 in the noon hour to late afternoon . All in all this experience was alot of fun! I really enjoyed.

We visit this beach a lot, but this is the first time we came for the music on the beach Friday summer events. We always try to avoid crowds, and the amount of visitors and vehicles has been overwhelming since 2016 and summer is usually the worst. This evening, the air quality is yellow; temperature is tolerable for our dogs; and we can enjoy the lake without a mask on. I'm glad we came. The crowd was small. Street parking was easy. We got some yummy food from the food stands, enjoyed the music and the beautiful view of lake with our dogs. After the last few years with California burning and the on going pandemic, we are grateful to able to enjoy this. I know everyone else on the beach is. Lets keep parks clean and lake Tahoe blue!!

It's a great, nice sandy beach but is usually PACKED to the brim with people during the summer months. Unfortunately, due to the amount of people the beach area can see in one day it means that some things can start looking and feeling a bit neglected. Very full trash and recycling cans, overflowing onto the ground, people leave a lot of garbage and junk behind in the BBQ areas and the barhrooms are atrocious by the end of the day. The great news about that is, it seems that everything is thoroughly and totally cleaned every night and everything is in great shape for the next day. The trash isn't the fault of the park, they really are doing a great job to keep Tahoe clean, it's just that the people using the park should do their...
