I've always wanted a Microcenter in my city, and safe to say, I was extremely excited when I heard they were opening up here finally. I've been waiting for it for years and it was like a toyland for PC nerds. There was so much there that I couldn't even begin to comprehend it all. The atmosphere was amazing, but there was something that really bothered me. I understand that it's the employees' job to make sure that customers are finding what they need, but I and my friends were asked around 6 or 7 times while we were there...and it didn't really feel very comfortable. It got to the point where it was overbearing and I wanted to leave as soon as possible, and I don't think that's how I wanna feel when I go there. Another thing I noticed is that my friend and I were looking for a specific GPU: The RTX 4070. Base Model. We couldn't find that at all. The lowest tier we saw was the 4070 Super, which was overbudget for what we were looking for. It was very disappointing. Thankfully, we were able to find a Montech case that my other friend was looking for. The prices are...okay. Some of these sales feel a bit stingy, especially for something labeled a "Black Friday Deal"...I don't think $30 off a $580 GPU is very lucrative...though the CPU deals seemed okay. The 5700X3D was a bit more expensive then what I saw on Amazon by $30 but it was a decent price nonetheless. Overall, it was an okay experience. I just wish I didn't feel so "overpatrolled" by the staff. And seeing the usual demographic of the customers, it didn't feel good when it felt like we were constantly being watched over.

Go at your own risk . I went in with a brand new pc two days old that was shipped to me , and took it their because I was getting a blank screen paid 80.00 just for them to see what the problem was and said it would be next day or two days and to leave it their . Ok Got a text saying the next day even though on their website it says if you buy a part it will be repaired the same day . They didn’t even give me an option. Next day I get a text to pick up pc it’s fixed just needed mother brain put back in to go pick up and not even have my power cord . Pieces off of it and didn’t even put back on it or give it to me , WiFi usb gone . I even asked for my hdmi and power cord and was told both was inside of pc . To come all the way home to now power cord , pieces inside off . They fixed it and didn’t even put it back Together ! I called and they said didn’t see anything and they advise customer to not bring in their power cord because it happens often ! I said that’s funny I wish I was advised because they needed mine for sure ! A brand new pc parts just gone !

I've been looking to build a home PC for many years and drove a couple of hours to visit this store in Indianapolis when I saw they carried enthusiast pc components in store. In the PC department, I worked with Cody, who struck a great balance of providing recommendations and input while also allowing me to enjoy my shopping experience. I don't often like working with sales associates as I typically feel rushed or pressured at a time when I want to enjoy exploring and making choices - in this case especially because I was very excited about this purchase- but I am genuinely glad I worked with Cody. Following the selection of my pc components, I wandered the store for about an hour to look at things in other departments - it's a big store! Cody actually searched the store for me not once, but twice during this time, to run new ideas past me after discussing my build with other team members. Overall, this was a great experience. And if you're looking to build a PC, ask for Cody!

Where to begin with this place? First I don't take time to leave reviews, its just not my style but this place has well earned it. I just learned of this place by word of ear through a young gentleman that so happened to over hear me asking questions about other parts at best buy after buying my GPU. To say the least I would of went here had I known about them prior.

Im still ignorant of pc building and I've done my research but still not confident in my ability as this was my first custom build.

Not once did any of the staff treat me poorly or ridicule me for not knowing certain terms. Talking among the staff members if you are willing to listen then you can learn interesting things, it's like just being around the staff will make one smarter šŸ˜†

I was scared to fire up my pc after putting it together I took it in too them the next morning when they opened. Sure enough I had no video out. Zachary diagnosed my pc and found that since I was planning to use my mobo (motherboard) from my pre-built that it had cracked under the CPU slot. He stayed over his shift to make sure he got my pc back together and tested it before leaving so I could pick it back up. He was patent and polite when talking to me on suggestions for a new mobo. The way I was treated and greeted at the Castleton store has made me a permanent customer and I live over 2hrs away from here but will gladly make the drive as I know it's going to be a pleasant experience. Not to mention just going into look at ALL the stuff they have on hand in the "Build Your Own" section truly make this place a treat, like that feeling you got as a kid when you first walked into a Toys R Us.

Upon my return to picking up my PC I was greeted by the knowledge manager and once again I felt truly welcome and not like I was bothering the employees. Dang I wish I had been to this store sooner, I would of gladly bought all my parts from them. 5 out of 5 across the board for being knowledgeable, welcoming, customer service, and not to mention all the accessories on hand.

I do need a new 4k monitor, keyboard, and mouse for my new setup gonna have...

EDIT: Updating to 3 stars thanks to the help of the Knowledge manager Dustin. He went above and beyond and was extremely helpful.

My boyfriend dropped his computer off Monday February 24th WITH an appointment. He was advised of the $80 diagnosis fee and told he should know something Monday night and if not then Tuesday for completion. Heard nothing Monday. No biggie. Tuesday rolls around. STILL nothing. He calls to make sure he gave the correct phone number and check status since we have heard NOTHING. He was told he’s still in the queue for diagnosis. At drop off they told him he could watch the status on it online with the service number. That’s great. HOWEVER, they wouldn’t give him one. The confirmation email didn’t contain it either. Wednesday rolls around. He FINALLY gets an update around 5pm. Great. Figured out the issue and talked about the fans. Was told about the fee to fix. No problem. Part was under warranty. Then he was told he’d be added into ANOTHER QUEUE. Like wtf? You have it apart he gave the okay and now his computer sits apart. They advised him Friday for completion. Thursday it’s radio silent. Friday, TODAY, gets here. Still have radio silence. He calls around 4pm and told no his computer will not be ready and it will run through the weekend. There are still 10 people in front of him. Absolutely ridiculous. Needless to say he picked up his computer and parts. He brought it all in the box the case came in with the case as well and it was returned to him out of box in a cart without his box and other components. Coming from someone who works in the automotive service industry the lack of communication is awful. It can make or break client base.

EDIT: He went to build his computer since they dropped the ball and found his BRAND NEW GPU damaged by them. Currently waiting on a call back from the service manager.

UPDATE: Service manager got back with us. He has ON FOOTAGE video of his GPU being dropped by an employee and not even checked. Which is when the damage occurred. We were NEVER advised of this until we called. They should have...
