I must say, this place is truly impressive and definitely worth checking out, especially because most vendors offer reasonable prices on fantastic items!

However, a word of caution: if you plan on purchasing any large furniture or items that are difficult to access, be prepared to handle the retrieval yourself. Fortunately, I managed to convince two friends to help me on separate days at the shop. We had to extract everything from the vendor's booth ourselves, including a two-piece china cabinet weighing around 400 pounds and a large pub table with eight chairs. The task would have been much easier if the items had been ready for us in an easily accessible area, but having to dig them out from the very back corner of the warehouse was the hardest part. When we asked for assistance, one employee explained that providing help with retrieving items wasn't part of their service—they simply place a sold tag on the merchandise, and the rest is up to you.

It's hard to imagine how an elderly person or someone unable to lift heavy objects would manage if they desired a large or upstairs item. Definitely come prepared with help.

It would be beneficial if the store could employ helpers to assist with moving large items at least a couple of days a week, perhaps letting customers know that help is available on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and that tipping the movers is appreciated.

A special thanks to Richard, who went above and beyond to retrieve some lamps for me from the top floor. He was incredibly kind and made sure everything was securely wrapped and even escorted me with the two glass lamps to my car.

In conclusion, visit and enjoy the shop, but I recommend sticking to smaller items that you can easily...

Midland Mystique: Navigating the Mega Vintage Warehouse

Midland Arts & Antiques Market has won our hearts with its exceptionally friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable staff – a special shoutout to Paco for being unmatched! This mega warehouse isn't for the faint of heart; it's a treasure trove where you can easily spend an entire day exploring the unreal range of eras and styles.

Pros: Vendors consistently replenish products, providing a dynamic shopping experience with new discoveries each visit. The vast space allows for a cool and captivating roam from booth to booth, making it an adventure for vintage enthusiasts.

Cons: It's notably dusty, so allergy sufferers beware – take an allergy pill and wear a mask. The sheer size of the warehouse can lead to disorder in some sections, impacting the buying experience. While small furnishings, decor, and trinkets shine, the high price points for larger furniture pieces may deter some buyers.

Midlands' charm lies in its quirky features, like the restless floorboard shifting and creaking, adding a touch of character to the experience.

To fully enjoy your venture to Midlands, come prepared: wear comfortable walking shoes, carry a large water bottle, bring allergy medication and a mask, tote a small bag or wagon for efficient shopping, and don't forget snacks for a mid-shopping pick-me-up. Despite its quirks, Midlands remains a favorite for its unique finds and...

Is this the best antique mall in the midwest?? I can’t believe I’ve never visited the Midland Arts & Antiques Mall before. This place is incredible. It’s set in an old warehouse and has been in operation for over 16 years. Should I go to the Southport one now? Before I do I need to go back to Midland though because we only had 1 hour and didn’t even have enough time to look at a quarter of the vendors. —————————————————
